Patriots getting a larger scoreboard at Gillette Stadium

When Patriots fans return to Gillette Stadium this year, they’ll immediately notice something different.

The scoreboard is larger.

Via NBC Sports Boston, the existing scoreboard in the south end zone is being expanded. It will be no taller but considerably wider.

It will come in handy when Tom Brady comes back to town, and when closeups of the quarterback responsible for six Super Bowl wins show up. Or maybe not, given the likelihood that images of Brady will spark loud cheers, not boos.

Regardless, when the Patriots host the Buccaneer in Week Four, and during each of the other eight regular-season home games the Patriots will play this year, fans will have a considerably larger video board to distract them from the action on the field.

  1. With Cam as the quarterback, they need a SMALLER scoreboard. Maybe downsize the “Home” score line to one digit.

Dude couldn’t be more right. Cam is a horribly bad QB. He has never been able to throw and now that he can’t run he is even more attrocious. Name me one starter he is better than or even as good as. Dude needs to go away.

I think Cam’s time as starter is very limited and the clock is ticking fast on it. The faster Mac Jones picks up the offense the faster that clock is ticking

I expect somewhere around games 4 to 6 of the coming season Jone will take the field as starter once he’s had a few games on the sideline to get the feel of the NFL

And Belichick is making sure it gives him some kind of advantage.

The University of Wisconsin basketball team uses smaller basketballs than any other team in college basketball. It’s a homecourt advantage, no one really knows how it could be allowed, and some may call it cheating. Real cheating with an object used in the sport.

You people are the biggest phonies and hypocrites so jealous of greatness, it’s ruined your life. Literally.

  5. Mac ,Stidham and Newton will light it up…. NOT!! No Alabama quarterbacks ever succeed including the ones from Auburn…..Pats will be 7-10!! Book it!

  6. I was intrigued by that post about the university of Wisconsin basketball deal. Googled the heck out of it and came up empty. Not sure that one is true. Now who is letting allocations of cheating ruin their life. Btw saying BBwill find a way to use something to his advantage is not saying he is cheating. But if there is an advantage to be found he will find it.

  7. The bigger the screen the easier it is to see the Bradyless Patriots fail.

Newton? Mark Sanchez was better than Cam.

When BB does leave the sewer is guaranteed. Down so low they will have to look up to see the basement.
