From his honeymoon, Tony Buzbee takes a swipe at Deshaun Watson

Lawyer Tony Buzbee hasn’t said much lately about the 22 cases he’s handling against Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. On Monday, Buzbee took a swipe at Watson while on a honeymoon.

“I’m not a big spa guy, and I abhor someone I don’t know touching me; but I had been at the beach, and had some time to kill while Frances had her spa time,” Buzbee posted. “So, at her urging, I had what they call the ‘grounding’ massage here at Amanzoe, for 90 minutes. It was actually nice and relaxing — I fell asleep. But note, it was professional; I made no weird demands, I didn’t grind around on the table, I never fully disrobed, and I never acted like an entitled, horny, teenage boy. I’m also quite sure Tina, the massage professional, didn’t feel threatened, degraded, or uncomfortable in any way. Massage therapy is a legit profession made up of trained professionals trying to earn an honest living. That’s how it should be.”

Buzbee, who barely stopped talking about the cases when they were first filed in March, hasn’t said much in recent weeks. This gratuitous slap at Watson suggests that a settlement between now and the start of camp isn’t likely. The question then becomes whether the league will let Watson know before it’s time to report for camp whether he’ll be placed on paid leave.

If he’s not going to be placed on paid leave and if the Texans and other teams know it, a trade before the start of the season becomes a very real possibility.

  1. Does this guy think he’s helping his clients with these comments? I don’t see how this benefits them.

  2. The problem with a trade right before the season is the QB doesn’t know the play book and hasn’t worked with the offense.
Plus the uncertainty of a suspension.

  3. I love it!
It may not be very professional, but he smacked Watson all upside his head.

  4. Dolphins or Steelers. Only teams where it makes any sense financially for 2022.

Just don’t see it happening this year at all.

  5. There is no mystery here. Watson is what’s commonly referred to as a sexual predator. He’s an entitled rich athlete. In his mind. He’s been coddled and praised since about the 5th grade. He prolly never attended a single class in high school, he for sure didn’t at Clemson. But now he’s in trouble because the feminist mafia will not let this go. Deshaun Watson is nothing more then a rapist. But in his mind, even today, he did nothing wrong. Bill Cosby is living proof, if you’re a rapist animal you’ll be ok in the end, as long as you’re rich.

  6. If I never hear from, or about Buzzbee or Hardin again after this I will be a happy man.

You probably didn’t attend class much either using words like ” prolly”

  8. Too much talking from Buzbee. Sounds like he’s adopted the same game plan as Shanahan and the 49ers.

  9. Not sure Tony Buzbee should be trying to paint that picture. Because he’s EXACTLY the type who i imagine would be doing all the things on that massage table he’s accusing Watson of. #sleazy

  10. So what was that about? And what was it for?? So far, all the yapping has come from Buzbee. If I were his client, I wouldn’t be terribly impressed…

Why would they damage the leverage of one of their clubs? Watson has a decision to make (actually follow through with). If he does not show up he starts earning fines. If he fails to show during the season and THEN the league puts him on the exempt list then he MIGHT not get paid since he was holding out. If the legal matters will not be cleared up this season without a settlement and he isn’t playing due to a holdout then why put him on the list at all this year?

  12. Its only natural when you rub naked people for a living, that natural things are going to happen sometimes.

Anyone offended by these natural reactions to sensual situations are free to use the phrase “no thank you.”
