Report: Justin Jefferson has sprained AC joint

USA TODAY Sports

Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson was diagnosed with a sprained AC joint, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

It is a sigh of relief for the team and for Jefferson.

Jefferson left Friday’s practice early after landing hard on his left shoulder as Bashaud Breeland, who was in coverage on Jefferson, landed on top of Jefferson.

Jefferson immediately grabbed at his left arm, writhing in pain on the ground.

He caught 88 passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie.

  1. And last year Zim said Hunter’s herniated disc was just a tweak — I’m still holding my breath.

  2. Less practice and preseason, just let em play schoolyard ball and save their bodies.

  3. Packer trolls=flies & mosquitos in the tent at 3 am. Enjoy your final year of relevance cheezits!

  4. Anthony Barr has a significant sack incentive in the reworked contract he signed this year. Do you want to tell Aaron or should I?

Jefferson seemed pretty tough, I guess not. Soft!

Landing on a small joint + large human directly on top, and he’s “soft” according to these internet hardos who would poop themselves with 1 hit from an NFL DB

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

His ability to play past the whistle and contribute to the success of the Vikings by purposely injuring significant players on the other team has been greatly stymied by rules changes, most notably The Barr Rule.

  7. Barr lives in Aaron’s head rent- free. According to cheezits, get hurt in a car accident and you’re soft.. Wisconsin plates are despised in my state, worst outdoorsmen in the country.

  8. The Barr Rule.No such thing Stella, you were the only person to try to make it stick. And you failed. The NFL just overreacted to Rodgers injury with a bad rule. Kind of like MLB and Posey.

We’ve been living in Viking fans’ head rent-free for years. All the hilarious triggered responses to the “soft” posts prove it.

  10. Don’t be mean . . . us Viking fans are very sensitive about one of our players getting a booboo.

Translation – still crying after 4 years. Dry your tears.

  12. We have to try to get Aaron out of the game . . . that’s our only chance.

  13. Packer fans getting their swings in while they can, after this year we won’t hear from them for 30 years….

  14. Vikings will be 7-9 this season

That’s impossible Nostradamus. They play 17 games this season.

Vikings will only play 16 after they forfeit a game because Cousins got the whole offense on the COVID list.

  16. He’ll be afraid to catch slants over the middle now, like a hunting dog afraid of a shotgun blast.

I didn’t bring it up after four years. It must’ve been Viking Fan reminiscing about Rodgers’ injury being one of the all-time Top Ten Sports moments of the last decade for the Vikings. Can’t make this up.

  18. No… it’s called the Rodgers rule! No flag on that play. On top of that, Rodgers called out Barr on that play. Barr responded by shooting the finger. Weeks later Aaron lied about that altercation. Rodgers is inconsistent in his words and actions. Some people might call that fake.

Same injury as Kumerow. You saw how that worked out.

That’s like comparing a brand new Cadillac to a beat up old pickup. One is new and performs well , the other is old and never had much potential in the first place.

I think it’s more like comparing a brand new Cadillac with a broken strut with a beat up old pickup with a broken strut, isn’t it?

  21. The difference is JJ has excelled at all levels and once he heals he could return to that level. Kumerow couldn’t cut at D1 and was still on a practice squad at 29 – no comparison between the two.

They both had nearly the same and identical injury. For comparison purposes, we can’t know the future until Jefferson returns at least as admirably as Kumerow has. Unless, of course, you can predict the future.

  23. WI plates despised in MN?? You should see/hear what they think of MN “sportsmen” showing up in their woods and on their waterways . . .
