The New England Patriots are getting tackle Yasir Durant in a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Herbie Teope of the Kansas City Star.

Durant signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Missouri last year. He appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs and made one start in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He played just a couple snaps in two playoff games, including the Super Bowl.

The Patriots are giving the Chiefs a 2022 seventh-round draft pick in exchange for Durant.

Durant has played both tackle and guard with the Chiefs.

  1. Hey wait…..our resident know-it-all told us all of KC’s o-line other than Thuney stink….

  2. Couldn’t even break into the group that left Mahomes running for his life? What an acquisition.

  3. Strange Pats move at this stage, they already had to shed 4 of their existing 12 o-line.

  4. Remember the days when Hoodie ripped everyone off and was king of the draft board ? Hoodie say hello to your new boss , Brett Veach
Chiefs just dumped a spare part for a draft pick , Chiefs dynasty is real , Patriots = OVER

  5. Oh wow….another brilliant acquisition by BB. This guy will certainly be a Hall-of-Famer now right Patriots fans?

  6. WTF? We are trading draft picks for some guy that will probably be cut later today?? I really am confused because we ALREADY are going to have to make a bunch of tough cuts to get the roster down to 53 by 4:00 today…….

  7. A late round pick for a UDFA is a nice flip. Good luck to the former tiger he looks to be a serviceable back up swing interior lineman.

Having told you for long time : it is a process of “finding gold among rocks.”

Belichick started this strategy since he found out that Brady didn’t need top paid WR in 2014 (Shane Vereen). I believe that was the time he started believing that he didn’t need Brady to be great.

Every year since then, he just threw dozens of castoffs and 30+ year old WR to Brady, let Brady work and figure out who would be good fit, and he collected credits. After Brady left last year, he thought he could still do the same.

Another one of those 1 year dynasties. When you win 3 in 5 year we can talk again. But you’ll get minus points for employing characters like Hill and Clark. Much respect Mahomes for how he never gave up in SB vs Tampa. Rest of KC (including the bandwaggon fans) – meh.
