Packers pull Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love makes his debut as Saints obliterate Packers

The Jordan Love era is underway.

Love, the Packers’ 2020 first-round draft pick and heir apparent to franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers, saw his first regular-season game action in the fourth quarter today as Rodgers was pulled during a disastrous game against the Saints.

Rodgers had completed 15 of 28 passes for 133 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions, and the Packers trailed 38-3 when Love entered the game.

Given all the offseason drama in Green Bay, there will be plenty of questions about whether Rodgers is happy about getting taken out late in the blowout. He certainly can’t be happy about how he played today.

  1. Something about better football, right? At least the Vikings starting QB could muster more than a field goal, and I am no fan of Cousins. So there’s that.

  2. Bahahaha!!!! The new guy looks worse than the OLD guy. Wait until they play a decent defense. GB is done! See yaโ€™ in 2022!

  3. The Jordan Love era is underway.

Just because they brought in Love in trash time when it was clear the Pack couldn’t win, GIVE IT A BREAK, Erin will be back under center next week, bank it!

  4. I hope whatever terrible things the Packers did has been worth all of this drama – but I kinda doubt it.

  5. Perhaps article could mention the 5 TD passes and 0 turnovers by Winston. You know, maybe for contrast.

  6. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

  7. lol!

He checked out. I am telling ya. He was checked out last year as well. Brady was awful in the title game throwing 3 picks that Erin did nothing with it.

And now he has a Millennial Man Bun. Good luck, GB.

  8. I’ll take name the QB that should’ve concentrated on football in the offseason for a thousand, Aaaron.

  9. Well, the Special Teams didn’t stink…
The offense will sort itself out. The defense is the true disaster. Everyone knew Barry was the wrong choice as D-Coordinator – except the people in charge. Players didn’t know where to line up or who to cover, and the “energy” Barry was supposedly bringing was nowhere in sight. And oh yeah – Kevin King still can’t cover. Everyone knew that too, except the people in charge. Congrats to the Saints.

  10. Long time saints fan (since pre superdome) feel guilty for writing off this game due to all the adversities. Can’t wait till past all the injury and suspension issues. Whodat!

  11. As a Vikings fan I’m happy based on comments and karma. This weeks big winner in my eyes is Teddy Bridgewater…

  12. Who is running the Green Bay franchise? They had a kings ransom being offered for Rodgers, a guy who they wrote off after they drafted a QB in the 1st round. Now they won’t get anything. Signs of a poorly managed franchise.

  13. I must admit once the MLB Playoffs commence plus the NFL I will suffer from Joe Buck Conniptions !

  14. The Saints have a solid organization, and the Packers have the exact opposite. That showed up big today. Rodgers has carried this poorly run organization for years and years. He didn’t have a dominant game, and they got blown out. Where were the other 52 players? It’s not supposed to be a one man show, but that’s what it’s been in Green Bay for a long time. You wonder why the owner doesn’t do something about it. Oh, that’s right. They don’t have an owner.

  15. Iโ€™ve been trying to tell you people all off-season the Saints are going to own the NFC South, and thus probably the NFC this year. Get ready for a long run of Super Bowls with Jameis Winston hoisting the trophy, and Sean Payton being the admiring, and guiding force behind the championships.

  16. The playbook is going to be wide-open baby, and Jameis really played a timid, and overly cautious game today. Wait until the confidence in his understanding of what Sean is trying to do comes!.

  17. What part of “I am tanking to hurt the Packers GM financially and competitively so that I can get traded out of town” don’t you understand?
The Pack GM wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to waste top picks on QBs who dont play and move on from Rodgers, but also make Rogers stay with wide receivers like St Brown who drop 40 pct of all balls that hit their bricks (hands). The GM has not been in “win now” mode for a long time, he is in “re-build, move on, and win now all at the same time” mode. That is impossible. Yes Rodgers is a total jerk but unlike Gutekunst he is not stupid. Rodgers is forcing Gutekunst to get his head out of his ass and move on to the QB he wasted a 1st rounder on and get some top picks in a trade of Rodgers to give the kid some weapons.
And the longer this idiot GM waits the more Rodgers is going to kill his draft value [and the Packers] by tanking and leaving the kid and the GM with nothing (while getting paid). Just move the jerk to Denver and get it over with.

  19. This is what happens when your qb is busy with things other than football and becoming a distraction.

  20. You had your chance to trade him to Denver for a couple of 1โ€™s. Good luck getting anything for him now

  21. Here is the take from the game. Rodgers looks homeless and 50 years old in his interviews.
jamies got lucky today and that will be his best performance of the year. When jamies was on his last year for the bucs he thought that he was worth 25 mil, negative.
Aaron used to be worth that but wtf?
How do you have a crybaby all offseason and put up those kind of numbers on your first day back on the payroll? Rodgers and his boy adams are on contract years but cannot perform like they did.
tampa has a couple more under the belt.
Ended brees career in their house and maybe got the last best game out of rodgers in green bay.

    Joe Buck is simply awful.

    ———————————–
He and Kenny Albert are the Nepotism Twins. Neither would be where they are today if not for their daddies.

I wouldnโ€™t talk too much. Soft teams lose to the Bengals.

    This guy.

  24. I think it would be funny to make Rodgers hold a clip board for the rest of the year. Obviously I know that wouldn’t happen, but it would be the ultimate in entertainment to see the look on his face. I would actually watch the games if they’d do this.

  25. Rodgers career as a football is over after the stunt he pulled last night, intentionally losing the game to get attention. He looks like he is 60 years old. He should be charged criminally for fixing a game. Bet the bookies made a ton of money on that game.
