The Vikings have issued their injury designations for Sunday’s trip to Arizona and they’ll be playing without linebacker Anthony Barr again this weekend.

Barr has been ruled out for the second straight week with a knee injury. Barr missed the final 14 games of last season with a shoulder injury, so this will make 16 straight games without Barr for the NFC North club.

Word on another linebacker’s status won’t come until later. Eric Kendricks is listed as questionable with a quad injury and could be a game-time decision if he gets on the flight to Arizona with the rest of the team on Saturday.

Defensive end Everson Griffen is out with a concussion and cornerback Harrison Hand will miss the game with a hamstring injury. First-round tackle Christian Darrisaw is out for the second straight week after having core muscle surgery this summer.

UPDATE 12:51 p.m. ET: Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said Griffen suffered his concussion in a car accident on Thursday. Griffen swerved to avoid hitting a deer on the road.

  1. Bart is softer than Cousins’ hands after his wife makes him soak them in Palmolive after a game.

  2. Barr is useless and here it goes with the usual players out. We are going to get touted this weekend. Our D sux and the O can’t keep up with points. 3-14 season.. book it!

  3. All aboard the gravy train. No wonder half the roster wanted less money to stay. Laughing all the way to the bank.

  4. I remember years ago sitting in Caesars playing blackjack (ok, it was the Stratosphere lol) when the Cardinals and Vikings were playing for a playoff spot. Looked the like the Vikes were going to win and eliminate the Packers when the Cards pulled out a last second miracle and sent MN home with an L, putting the Pack in the playoffs. That was a good day. Lost a buttload of money not paying attention but still a good day. Let’s hope for as exciting of a game this weekend.

  5. With Barr out, Kendricks limited at best and our wretched o-line this one won’t be pretty…I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been a Vikes fan long enough to know that they won’t win this one. Cardinals win 38-17…Cousins gets a couple of garbage time TD passes to pad his stats, but it won’t be close.
