Colts left tackle Eric Fisher is poised to take the field for the first time since tearing his Achilles tendon while playing for the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.

The Colts expect Fisher to start today against the Rams, according to multiple reports.

Although Colts coach Frank Reich said during the week that he couldn’t commit to Fisher starting, Fisher practiced all week and appeared to be heading in that direction.

The Colts’ starting right tackle, Braden Smith, is out with a foot injury, so having their starting left tackle on the field would be a welcome change from Week One.

  1. Great for him. That dude worked hard to be one of the best LT’s in the league before getting hurt. Looking forward to the matchup today.

  2. I hope for the best for fisher. He was a rock for years in kc but calling him one of the best in the league is a huge reach. He is a average left tackle who probably would of been better off at guard and definitely not worth a huge contract in his 30s when you can get similar production with a draft pick and pay them way way less…

  3. I think fish ranked somewhere around 15th for all starting LTs so he is average, maybe a little above or below average. I wish him all the luck regardless.
