Vikings cornerback Harrison Hand had a brief stay on the COVID-19 list toward the end of last month.

He’s now on it again.

Minnesota announced on Tuesday that the team has placed Hand on COVID reserve, making him the second cornerback to go on the list this week. Cameron Dantzler was placed on the list due to a positive test on Monday.

A fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft, Hand has appeared in two games this season, receiving only special teams snaps. He played 14 games for the Vikings last season, recording an interception and three passes defensed.

If Hand is vaccinated and tested positive, then he will need two negative tests separated by 24 hours to return to work.

The Vikings also signed defensive tackle T.J. Smith to their practice squad. Defensive tackle Michael Pierce is dealing with an elbow injury that limited him to just 27 percent of the snaps in Sunday’s loss to Cleveland.

  1. “ Hey Harrison….if you want a chance at a NFL career, it’s time to get vaccinated”

Not everyone is brainwashed as you are.

  2. “Not everyone is brainwashed as you are.”

“Brainwashed” by thousands of scientists and doctors,
    Or,
“Brainwashed” by anonymous sources on the web.
    Tough choice.

  3. Doesn’t matter, time to clean house and start from scratch, going on eight years of incompetence under the Zimmer regime-who do you think the next head coach of the Vikings will be?????????

  4. The most significant news to me is that they signed a DT to the practice squad, which likely means that Pierce will be out for a while. Hand is pretty far down the depth chart (and who knows if he’s been vaccinated — I dont recall seeing him wearing a mask on the sideline with the other antis).

  5. “If Hand is vaccinated and tested positive, then he will need two negative tests separated by 24 hours to return to work” ….

of course that is assuming that he doesn’t actually have it and start feeling like he wants to die a few days from now. I sincerely hope not, however your comments within many articles seems to assume everyone received a false positive and all will be well.

I wish that were the case. No I’m not brainwashed, I have a degree in Biology/Chemistry and understand exactly what is being discussed in the medical community. This virus and its variants are deadly serious …

Please get vaccinated and give yourself some degree of protection. Without it you basically have none. This can take you in a heartbeat, as evidenced in every daily newspaper around the world … yes, the entire world.

  6. Ask Zim if he wants a demotion to DC asap and if not, cut the bait.. Bring in a guy who’s respected and knows how to rack up points and get first downs while keeping the locker room chill. #drewbreespeytonmanning
