The Dolphins may be without one of their top receivers as they head up the state to take on the Buccaneers.

Miami has listed DeVante Parker (shoulder) as questionable for Sunday. He was limited in practice all week.

Parker has 17 receptions for 242 yards with a touchdown so far in 2021.

But Parker is the only player with an injury status for the Dolphins in Week Five.

Cornerback Byron Jones (quad/Achilles) didn’t practice on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday and a full participant on Friday. Cornerback Xavien Howard was also limited on Thursday but full on Friday.

Safety Brandon Jones (ankle), center Greg Mancz (neck), and tight end Adam Shaheen (neck) are also expected to play for Miami.

  1. Surprise surprise.. Our biggest offensive “playmakers” in Parker, Fuller, Williams and Tua are all some of the most injury prone players in the league. How Grier or Flores continue to get praise or respect is beyond me. They need to clean house after the end of our inevitable awful season, and hire an offensive minded coach since that’s the way the league is trending. I believe Grier deserves most of the blame, but Flores’ ineptitude on the offensive side is alarming. It’s clear he has no idea on how to come up with an offensive game plan, hire offensive coordinators, or call plays for that matter. Once he’s inevitably fired, I’d be surprised if he ever got a head coaching gig again; he’s purely just a defensive coordinator unfortunately.

  2. Parker has spent most of his time in the league on the injury report. I’m curious what the Dolphins new regime saw in him to keep him? He’s had issues staying healthy and rumors are it’s a personal issue of not taking enough care of himself. I know he has the trappings of a #1 due to his size and catch radius but being healthy should be his only priority. Talent is no issue here.
