Lamar Jackson led a comeback for the ages on Monday night and now he’s been honored for his performance.

The Ravens’ quarterback was named the AFC offensive player of the week on Wednesday morning.

Jackson enjoyed the best passing game of his career, completing 86 percent of his 43 throws for 442 yards with four touchdowns. He also rushed 14 times for 62 yards.

The Ravens were down by 19 points late in the third quarter before Jackson led them to an epic comeback.

This is the eighth time that Jackson has been named offensive player of the week after receiving the honor five times in his MVP season of 2019 and two times in 2020.

Baltimore will have another bright young quarterback in town for Week Six, as Justin Herbert and the 4-1 Chargers will be at M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday.

  1. Well deserved – highest completion percentage ever in a game with over 400 yds passing – not bad for a Running Back! Have at it Lamar Haters and assorted Trolls.

  2. Not a bad day for a running back! Least that’s what haters will say! Monday night is an example of why he won the Heisman as a Quarterback!

  3. Could have been the “goat” with two fumbles inside the 1 yard line. The refs blew the call on the 2nd fumble. He was untouched when he went down after tripping himself. He fumbled when he lunged for the goal line and was not down.

  4. Obviously the guy just threw for a career high with no picks and lead his team back from the largest deficit in his career. Where are the haters at? I’ll tell ya they’re cowering in their rat holes. Cheers!

  5. Lamar Jackson is one of one. Enough said. He is hard working, no nonsense and an inspiring teammate. Players gravitate to him and that quality is called intangibles which is different from just talent which a lot of QB’s have. Like a Brady for example. It makes players WANT to play for them

  6. It’s a long season with a lot of unforeseen ups and downs for every team, but the Ravens are showing signs of having a special season.

  7. I hate the Ravens, but Jackson is fun to watch, and he’s upping his game. He just needs to protect himself better when he runs. He should watch Russell Wilson. Slide or get out of bounds, don’t be a hero, RBs have short careers – remember that you’re a QB and protect yourself and have a long career.

  8. What happened to all the haters – I don’t see you this week – egg on your face is a good look for yall

  9. Basically invisible for 3+ quarters until the Colts injuries had them playing their 6th and 7th CB’s and 3rd string Safety, but yes, amazing.

I hate to tell you but your hero, Russell Wilson, is hurt. I guess he should have played smarter and not hit AD’s arm. All the NFL’s QB’s should take the advice of a keyboard coach and follow your advice. Just think – no more QB injuries.

And where is Russell Wilson now??

That would have been catastrophic but the replay clearly showed his knee was down before the ball even started to come out

  13. Right back in the MVP talk! I can’t wait until he signs that mega deal and the haters say “the rest of the AFC or AFC North thanks you Baltimore”. It was always a stupid statement since he feasts on the AFC.

Have you ever heard of replays? You can watch them and see all kinds of things. Like, for instance, that you’re wrong.

I replayed that 2nd fumble once. Close, but Lamar was clearly down before the ball came out if his hand. This is funny because in the Detroit game, the same people want to ignore the 2 horrendously bad calls that went against the Ravens.

  16. What happened to all the haters yall say? It was one game. It only took him how many to have a 300 yard plus game?

If he feasts in the AFC, then why does he have only one postseason win? Sounds more like he is starving

  18. Patrick Mahomes plays like hot garbage for a half and change then comes storming back, he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. Jackson does it, and the hater excuses flow like wine. The vitriol for this kid is unreal……

  19. It’s amazing the worst throwing quarterback ever sets a completion record go figure, but then again the receivers were wide open!

Congratulations on shredding a high school secondary!

Exactly the double standard that opiniated fans have. Lamar beats the Lions on a last sec controversial FG and has to mount a comeback against the Colts and everybody gushes. Allen destroys the opposing teams he plays. And he doesn’t squeak by the Chiefs, he dismantles them in their house during a storm. But all they hear is, meh.

  21. Clearly he’s an elite player of a slightly different kind than what we’re used to. He’s showing that his ceiling gets higher and higher with time.

His one remaining test is to clean up the mistakes. These spectacular comebacks mask the mistakes that get them into holes to begin with.

But that seems manageable, and there’s no question he has earned having the team built around him.
