Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has officially been called up from injured reserve to the active roster and appears set to start on Sunday against the Jaguars in London.

Officially, Tagovailoa is questionable with a rib injury, but from all indications he’s feeling good and ready to start on Sunday for the early kickoff.

Jacoby Brissett, who started the last three weeks with Tagovailoa injured, is also questionable with a hamstring injury. He’s likely to be active as the No. 2 quarterback behind Tagovailoa.

Reid Sinnett is the only other quarterback on the Dolphins’ 53-man roster.

The Dolphins also elevated wide receiver Isaiah Ford and wide receiver Kirk Merritt for Sunday’s game.

  1. Dolphins are a hot mess, won’t win more than 3 games this season.
Flores has lost the locker room.

  2. While the jury is still out on Tua being good… he is actually 7-3 as a Starter. Just sayin’

  3. Maybe a London fan at the game can step in and play? Great way to build the London enthusiasm the NFL SO desperately wants.

  4. It’s unfortunate that GM Chris Grier can’t be placed on IR. Every quarterback who plays behind the Miami Dolphin’s offensive line is very close to being placed on IR.

  5. I feel sorry for Miami Dolphins fans….Tua Tagovailoa played on an Alabama Crimson Tide offense surrounded by future/potential 1st and 2nd round draft picks and then drafted by a rebuilding Dolphins team with a lousy o-line,just accentuates his well documented injury history, low ceiling and glaring deficiencies…Tua don’t look so good. I think Brian Flores is the only Miami Dolphins employee that hasn’t privately moved on from Tua Tagovailoa.

  6. This Chargers fan remains eternally grateful to the Dolphins’ brain trust for drafting Tua. We are pretty happy with Justin Herbert. Thank you.

  7. Tua being activated. Is this a threat that he may play and get injured and replaced yet again? The Dolphins must be so happy their scouting staff and GM were good enough at their jobs to realize Tua was far superior to that slug Herbert. Great draft choice and now you can pick in the top five every year.

  8. Tua angered the football gods when he said NFL was easy. It’s been downhill ever since.

  9. Tua actually has a good record as a starter, but he just can’t seem to stay healthy. It will be interesting to see how long he lasts before next injury & stint on IL…Seems a forgone conclusion that Fins will be drafting a qb or signing Watson for next season…Tua is going to ultimately be a backup somewhere…

  10. Still cannot believe they took this guy over Herbert. I mean they knew he was an undersized injury prone QB coming off of a NASTY major hip injury and yet they STILL opted to draft him despite 6”5/230pd Justin Herbert who had a rocket arm still being on the board. If owned the Dolphins id fire the GM and any scouting personnel who recommended drafting Tua over Herbert. How do u mess up that bad when this is what you get PAID TO DO and it is all you do YEAR ROUND 24/7? Unacceptable unforgivable sin. There are dudes still walking around that facility who should of been fired like yesterday.

The one guy who can’t be fired likely pulled the trigger on Tua. The fact that Ross has a man-crush on Watson even with all his baggage, speaks volumes of who picks the QBs. Grier and Flores are yes men who do the owner’s bidding. Ross should stick to real estate.
