It’s unclear when Packers outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith will be back on the football field, but he sounds optimistic that it’s coming this season.

Smith, who is on injured reserve after back surgery, tweeted today that he has returned to Green Bay and plans to be back in action at Lambeau Field.

Just landed back in GreenBay‼️” Smith wrote. “I Can’t wait to get back on the field with my bros.”

When a fan asked Smith how his back feels, Smith answered, “I feel like a new man.”

All indications have been that Smith’s back injury was not season-ending, so at some point the Packers expect to have him back on the field. His presence would be a big boost for Green Bay’s defense. Smith led the team in sacks in both 2019 and 2020.

  1. I had back surgery and couldn’t take out the garbage for a month, don’t know how a guy plans on trying to wrestle 300 lb. O-linemen..

“Will the Smith sisters reunite? Stay tuned folks!”
Yes indeed they will and just in time to put another bit** slapping on the Vikings.thats always a beautiful sight, watching the Smith sisters smacking down Cousins and his fraud team.

  3. Leading the packers horrific defense in sacks really doesnt say much.

Desperation is a stinky cologne my friend.

And nobody is fooled by the one up-vote all your posts seem to instantly get. Thanks for adding that very sad cherry to your already pathetic sundae.

  4. I can’t imagine the surgeons would okay him to lift weights or try to play anytime soon. The top-ten Packer defense is doing pretty well without him.

I heard you didn’t the garbage out before either….

  6. Z, coming back, JA coming back added Jaylon Smith & Whitney Mercilus…… MERCY! TB12 is very concerned. Who’s got it better then GBP fans????? Nobody P E R I O D!
We loaded for Pirate’s & Cowboys, come getcha some!

  7. Man…if Za’Darius Smith and Jaire Alexander are able to come back…along with Bahktiari, Myers, Adams, Lazard, MVS…at that point, the injuries may actually end up helping this team out in the long run!

Guys like Garvin getting playing time or bringing in Mercilus, Rasul Douglas, Stokes getting playing time. 4 of the 5 positions on the OL changing as Bahk slides back in at LT, Jenkins presumably at LG(though I’d kick him out to RT personally since he’s shown he’s capable) then Myers back in at C and then I guess whoever they think is the best at RG. If they think Newman is the best player, leave it, but Runyan may well end up there.

The way this team has kept it’s focus and played good, smart, physical FB while they were missing 1/3rd of their preferred starters…it’s different than other years, other teams. More of an edge. Bigger, faster. And somehow Joe Barry has Dean Lowry and Tyler Lancaster playing like competent NFL linemen! What can he do when we put two All Pro’s back into that lineup?

Now…if they can just trade for Quinnen Williams or Evan Engram, we’re lifting a trophy!
