The Cowboys don’t know who their starting quarterback will be on Sunday Night Football, but they do know who will block for him.

Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith, who’s officially listed as questionable, will play tonight against the Vikings, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Whether Smith is protecting Dak Prescott or Cooper Rush remains to be seen. Prescott is a game-time decision with the calf injury he’s been dealing with. We may not know if Prescott is active until 90 minutes before kickoff.

Smith has started every game this season but suffered an ankle injury in the Cowboys’ most recent game, against the Patriots.

  1. Just thinking about it sends a shiver down my leg. It will be a close game with Dak playing, but If it’s rush this will be a blowout by the Vikings.

  2. Jerry Jones may be a bit embarrassed that he bet on Dak to go through the entire season as the starter. Foles, Cam Newton and others not named

  3. as if the most overrated quarterback on the most overrated team in the league would even still be in contention by the second half of a game against GB or TB, Arizona or LAR—in other words, the legitimate contenders;

  4. I’d say Cowboys were in second half contention with the Bucs in Tampa. They were beaten by 2 points on a last second field goal.
