The Panthers appear set to have their starting quarterback and running back on Sunday against the Patriots.

Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey has been activated from injured reserve, while quarterback Sam Darnold has cleared the concussion protocol, according to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com.

That doesn’t necessarily mean Darnold will start, as he also has a shoulder injury. If Darnold can’t go, P.J. Walker would start.

The Panthers also activated safety Myles Hartsfield from injured reserve to the active roster and promoted punter Lachlan Edwards and wide receiver Willie Snead from the practice squad to the active roster.

  1. Trade McCaffrey to the Bills for their first. Panthers need to retool on offense and the Bills need a running back.

Haha. This not a bad trade. Except Diggs would probably want out if it eats into his targets or they turn into a running team

How? Considering the trade deadline has passed.

  4. CM22 is one of my favorite players in the game. Hate to see he’s not a Buc. Glad to see him back in the fold. That said. Go Patriots…shut the Panthers down. CM22 is a beast!

  5. Nobody is giving up a first round pick for McCaffrey. He’s worn down and will probably be hurt by the end of the game tomorrow.

  6. Diggs isn’t getting all that many targets to begin with, this season. Josh Allen spreads the ball around so much that Diggs hasn’t had to shoulder the load. Haven’t heard him complain thus far. Bringing in an elite running back to help Buffalo’s impotent running game would help toward the goal of winning a ring. Diggs wants a ring. End of story.

I agree. I don’t think diggs would want another wr coming in and trying to be the #1 wr, but I think it’s a different situation brining in an elite rb. . . .even if that rb takes targets away in the passing game.

  8. should be a competitive game
    Gilmore revenge game as well
Hope he has been in Sam’s ear letting him know what to look out for
