The Packers have placed starting linebacker De'Vondre Campbell on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced on Tuesday.

Green Bay has its bye in Week 13, so it’s possible Campbell won’t miss a game.

It’s currently unclear whether Campbell tested positive or is a close contact. It’s also currently unclear whether or not he’s vaccinated. But if he’s vaccinated and tested positive, he’ll be able to return to the building with a pair of negative tests separated by 24 hours.

Campbell has started all 12 games for the Packers this season, his first with Green Bay. He has 99 total tackles, four tackles for loss, a pair of interceptions, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and a sack.

The Packers will play the Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 14.

  1. Good timing. Maybe they can work out an extension during the break – this guy has earned it.

  2. It was already a good week for the bye; now it’s doubly so since he’s been probably their most important defensive player for the last two months.

  3. The entire team should go on the Covid list today, then they’re all covered for the season!

  4. Tough break for a player who has been a revelation this season. Get well soon De’Vondre!

  5. In spite of covid, he’s been much more effective (and available!!!) than our Anthony Barr.

  6. >> ariani1985 says: pro bowl appearances! <<

Trying to remember the last time I watched a Pro Bowl.

Pretty sure it was the Tecmo version on NES.

  7. Best wishes for Campbell. Hope he recovers quickly so he can be back out there for the bears game. It would be sad to let them think they have a chance.

  8. Barr’s long history of winning titles puts him out of reach of the mere mortals that play for other teams.
