Bucs’ equipment staffer hustles to get Tom Brady’s 700th touchdown pass ball

Earlier this year, Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans gave to a fan the football that broke the all-time career passing touchdown record, to the chagrin (and considerably expense) of Tom Brady.

Earlier tonight, Brady threw his 700th career touchdown pass, a walk-off 58-yard catch and run by Breshad Perriman in overtime.

And a member of the Tampa Bay equipment staff can be seen scooping up the ball after Perriman puts it down on the grass. Watch closely. You’ll see him sprint along the back of the end zone to get in position to retrieve the ball, ideally before Perriman gives it to someone in the crowd.

Or just have a look at the attached photo; the feet of the football retriever can be seen on the white strip at the back of the end zone.

So, this time around, Brady won’t have to give anyone a bunch of stuff — or have his crypto sponsor fork over a Bitcoin in exchange for free publicity from Brady.

  1. Does anyone care about this guys records anymore? If you play a quarter of a century in the most pass friendly era in the history of the league you should own every record at this point

  2. They should have ran the football against the Bills but Brady wanted to pad his stats. Belichick would not have allowed that.

    Great logic.

Remind me again of all the people who were able to play a quarter of a century. Then, once you’re done with that, cross reference that with who has been able to get to 10 Super Bowls and win 7.

The whole thing sounds like a piece of cake—everyone should do it.

Which other QB in this “pass friendly era” is as consistent and durable as TB even in their late 30s ???? It’s amazing what TB is able to do with his arm compared to other QBs that can even come closer to TB

Just enjoy the show while it lasts instead of complaining

Please see Jets/Patriots score, Oct 26, 2021 (the most recent example) and let us know about Belichick and padding stats and scores.

They were not just using clock or running up the score. It was OT and they needed a play like that.

  7. Example of what winners versus losers do. Two years ago, Bucs in overtime with the Falcons…Jameis Winston nearly immediately throws a pick six. Last night in OT against BUF, throws a 50+ yard TD pass…his 700th. There is no denying that Tom Brady is the GOAT.

  8. For a guy who only cares about W’s and Super Bowl’s he certainly has a lot of people on point to chase down his footballs!
