Coming off a big game on Sunday, Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling will now have to isolate from the team.

The Packers announced today that they placed Valdes-Scantling on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Although the new NFL protocols make it easier for players to return, the Packers play the Christmas afternoon game in four days, and it’s unlikely that he’ll be cleared in time to play against the Browns.

Valdes-Scantling had one of his best games of the season on Sunday against the Ravens, catching five passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.

Do we know if MVS has been vaccinated?
    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It doesn’t matter anymore. Volatile variants, which they warned us could happen, are doing an end-around and infecting everybody, vaccinated and unvaccinated alike. I prefer to be vaccinated for safety’s sake and to hopefully not infect others asymptotically in the very likely event I get it. I think everyone will, at some point. I’m all for masks and mandates. They aren’t that big of a deal. Anyone who makes a big deal out of it is doing so primarily for political reasons. You know it.

  2. I’m sure the NFL will tweak the rules to allow him to play like they always do for the packers.

Like when they let the Packers best defensive player, Kenny Clark, play against the Ravens this past Sunday?
