The Eagles could be without their leading rush for the rest of the regular season.

Per multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, the Eagles fear that running back Miles Sanders suffered a broken hand during Sunday’s win over the Giants. He’ll undergo more testing tomorrow.

If there’s a fracture, he could be out a few weeks. With two weeks left in the regular season, the Eagles may not have Sanders as they try to nail down an unlikely playoff berth.

Sanders has 754 rushing yards this season, in 12 games. The Eagles have developed a potent rushing attack. They generated 130 yards in the ground game on Sunday, the first time in more than two months that they had less than 175 rushing yards in a game.

The Eagles finish the season with games at Washington and at home against the Cowboys.

  1. They didn’t miss Sanders when he was out earlier in the season. It’ll be the Jordan Howard show here on out.

  2. Eagles have not had trouble running even when Miles has been out, partly because Jordan Howard and Boston Scott have been so effective as well. His versatility will be missed however. Mostly, it’s just about Miles getting back and having a chance to play in the playoffs after working so hard all year. He’s a good teammate as well as a good player.

Let’s just hope Howard didn’t suffer the same type of stinger as he did a couple years ago when he missed about 10 games because of it.

  4. They will lose at Washington next week that’s a fact career Gilbert won’t be starting this time

  5. Eagles are already preparing for the offseason.
They will be sending all their 1st and second round draft choices to Houston for Desean Watson.

  6. Eagles will destroy Washington, ( in case you aren’t watching they’ve already quit in each other), and they will beat Dallas who won’t be playing anybody. I still think they will do whatever it takes to secure Watson in the off-season who will change his position in playing there now that he’s seen what this team can do. And if they get him the NFC East will be theirs for years to come barring injuries. Dak can’t hold Watson’s wrist bands, and nobody else in the division has a QB. Dallas has a horrible cap situation coming up.

Meanwhile I’m still stuck with Matt Ryan who looks like he might be out QB til he’s 50.

  7. If I’m the Eagles I’d let Houston have Watson and then I’d use all of the draft picks to rebuild the defense.

  8. Sanders is soft. All PSU running backs have been soft since Franco Harris and he was a Fullback.
