The Raiders have placed six players on the COVID-19 list including several linebackers, which could have an adverse effect on the team’s defense in the upcoming matchup against the Colts.

Linebacker Denzel Perryman, cornerback Casey Hayward Jr., linebacker K.J. Wright, linebacker Cory Littleton, defensive tackle Darius Philon, and linebacker Patrick Onwuasor have all been placed on COVID-19 reserve.

That leaves Las Vegas with only three linebackers on their active roster: Will Compton, Divine Deablo, and Marquel Lee.

Perryman has been one of the most important players on Las Vegas’ defense. he returned after missing two games due to injury for Sunday’s victory over Denver, playing 93 snaps and making five tackles. He has 138 tackles in 13 games this season.

The Raiders are now up to 11 players on the COVID-19 list, including backup quarterback Marcus Mariota and receiver Bryan Edwards.

Las Vegas’ opponent, Indianapolis, also has a COVID-19 cluster with 14 players on COVID reserve.

  1. Perryman is probably gonna finish the season with 100+ solo tackles, insanity. Hes almost singlehandedly carrying the defense, for as much flack as Gruden and Mayock have gotten this is the best non draft acquisition theyve made and probably ever will make.

  2. The Raiders are 100% vaccinated. As I unerstand it, if none of these players have symptoms, two negative tests and they are back. Unless of course, the NFL changes the rules (again)….

  3. How about the Raiders play the Chargers this weekend right after they play the Broncos (same day) then they play the colts the next weekend. The Colts play Jacksonville this weekend and rest their starters next weekend to play the Raiders after they have clinched the playoffs. Go raiders

  4. Scipio_Africanus I believe that rule was changed and now only one negative test is required for a player to return to active status, so our chances of some of those players contributing is greatly improved. also i believe the colts place their starting qb on the covid reserve list earlier today
