About a dozen Eagles tested positive for COVID-19 today.

NFL Network reports that the list of players who tested positive includes defensive lineman Fletcher Cox, tight end Dallas Goedert, center Jason Kelce, linebacker Genard Avery, safety Marcus Epps, guard Nate Herbig, running back Jordan Howard, cornerback Avonte Maddox, safety Rodney McLeod, running back Boston Scott, linebacker Alex Singleton and tight end Jack Stoll.

Because of the new COVID-19 protocols that make it easier for players to return after testing positive, it’s possible that everyone who tested positive today could play on Saturday against the Cowboys.

It’s also possible, however, that the outbreak will encourage the Eagles simply to play it safe this week and rest all their key players in a meaningless game against the Cowboys. The Eagles will be a wild card team and open the postseason on the road regardless of whether they win or lose against the Cowboys on Saturday.

  1. Eagles played the Washington COVID Team, of course there is going to be an outbreak. Being a toxic team is what Daniel Snyder is all about… it is his culture.

  2. No starters were playing on either side anyway. I can’t speak for McCarthy, but even a new coach like Sirianni knows better. And if I’m the cowboys I’d be glad that I don’t have to play the Eagles in the first round because their running attack being utilized the last 5-6 games will eat up that cowboy defense. They can’t score if they aren’t on the field and they would never be on the field. Both teams will be one and done but man those Eagles have a bright future.

Welp, looks like no starters are playing for either team Sat.

Cowboys aren’t resting their starters. They feel they can still get a higher seed

  4. The Eagles haven’t beaten one team with a winning record this year and they’re in the playoffs. Yeah we really needed to add a 7th team. They are the worst team to ever make the playoffs.

  5. Upset special…Eagles beat Tampa in first round. Too much turmoil at the bay they were lucky to beat the Jets.

  6. Shady organization. I’m sure many of these guys were sick or showing signs of being sick prior to the Washington game. Game is over and now they have mass testing the day after that finds all of these people sick. Strange. Especially since the head coach was sick a week prior. They should have been testing sooner. It should be investigated.

  7. Fletcher Cox may be a former teammate oF DAK at Miss State but he gives Dak fits when he plays the Boys!
