The Vikings continue to make their way through the searches for their new head coach and General Manager.

The team announced that they completed an interview with Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett on Sunday. With the Packers on a bye this week, Hackett also spoke with the Bears and Broncos about their openings in recent days.

Minnesota requested interviews with several other assistants whose teams were playing on Wild Card weekend. Those coaches will now be eligible to interview with the team.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team will also interview Eagles vice president of football operations Catherine Raîche for their G.M. opening on Monday. They interviewed Titans director of player personnel Monti Ossenfort on Sunday.

  1. I am not sure why you are interviewing coaches as you do the GM. Should not the GM be part if the not the ONE doing that?

seems dysfunctional but hey that’s why you are there in the first place.

This seems a step backwards not forward

  2. Please, no. We’ve all seen the quality of the Packers team when Rodgers sits. They’re not even competitive. Please don’t make this hire.

  3. There taping all interviews for the new GM to see. Then he will have those he likes fir a follow up interview.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You’re describing one game, with a quarterback that had never taken the field, on the road, against a SuperBowl team with an All-Pro quarterback, under a blitz barrage of 82%……and the Packers lost by six.

    Don’t be choosy.

  5. Nobody would know Hackett’s name if Rodgers had left green bay like he wanted. Please no. That offers a was hot garbage without rodgers

I’m actually describing their all-time 6-11-1 record and 20 PPG without Rodgers. You’re choosing one game, not me.

  7. Offensive Coordinators aren’t hired at HC if their offenses are elite. That’s why Eric Bieniemy isn’t getting hired even though the Chiefs have a great offense. That’s not how things translate and fans don’t understand that. Mike Vrabel went from Texans LB Coach to Head Coach of Titans in 2 seasons… Coach hires come from interview performance.
