The Wild Card round of the playoffs is in the books and that means we now know six more spots in the draft order for the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Eagles lost to the Buccaneers on Sunday and that leaves them with the 19th overall pick for the spring. That will be the lowest of the three first-round picks they own in this year’s draft.

A draft day deal last year netted them the Dolphins’ first-round pick, which came in at No. 15 after their 9-8 finish this season. They also picked up the 16th overall pick as compensation for sending quarterback Carson Wentz to Jacksonville during the offseason.

The Eagles won’t necessarily be staying there when the first round gets underway in Las Vegas on April 28 as they could make moves up or down the draft board with those assets in their pocket.

Here’s how the entire first round order shapes up with eight teams still alive in the race for Super Bowl LVI:

1. Jaguars (3-14)

2. Lions (3-13-1)

3. Texans (4-13)

4. Jets (4-13)

5. Giants (4-13)

6. Panthers (5-12)

7. Giants (via 6-11 Bears)

8. Falcons (7-10)

9. Broncos (7-10)

10. Jets (via 7-10 Seahawks)

11. Washington Football Team (7-10)

12. Vikings (8-9)

13. Browns (8-9)

14. Ravens (8-9)

15. Eagles (via 9-8 Dolphins)

16. Eagles (via 9-8 Colts)

17. Chargers (9-8)

18. Saints (9-8)

19, Eagles (9-8, Wild Card loser)

20. Steelers (9-7-1, Wild Card loser)

21. Patriots (10-7, Wild Card loser)

22. Raiders (10-7, Wild Card loser)

23. Cardinals (11-6, Wild Card loser)

24. Cowboys (12-5, Wild Card loser)

  1. I’d be trading down and picking up more picks next year. There is no game changer in this years draft.

  2. The Eagles need to use all 3 of those first round draft picks to rebuild the defense.

  3. If Howie is making the picks it doesn’t matter. The accountant doesn’t know anything about football, who knew? The eagles are a mess. The gm has to much control of what the coaches do. The quarterbacks weakness is playing quarterback and they lack any talent at key positions on defense. We should have been a 5 win team, but thanks to covid, schedule, and injuries the eagles played a bunch 4th and 5th string qbs and bad teams who were missing what little talent they had. We had no business being in the playoffs at all. The worst possible outcome of this last season happened to us. Because they backed into the playoffs Howie and hurts will keep their jobs in the most important offseason in this franchises history and both don’t deserve too.

I fear my eagles are going to enter into a very long stretch of Mediocrity due to not getting rid of the people in charge when they should have. Anyone who thinks Hurts is a NFL starting quality quarterback should not have a job in the NFL..

  4. Schneider should trade Wilson to Philly for the picks. He could than parlay those picks into 20 7th rounders…….

  5. Eagles…”wild card loser” is right. I always smdh at the Philly fans in our house. Always making trouble…poor sports. Hopefully getting some high picks will let them build a professional football team so we pro football fans don’t have to waste our time going to watch them.

  6. Trade down and start rebuilding that roster. There isn’t a QB in the draft worth spit so you have to endure the clown you have now. But you can build a foundation of a competent team so he can be replaced the following year. He won’t and can’t improve so you’ll be primed to add competence and a chance to draft a real QB – not some clown wearing a Halloween costume.

  7. D. Watson to the Giants for the 5th & 7th in the 1st + their 2nd this year and their 1st and 2nd next year.

  8. Shouldn’t Baltimore be 13 and Cleveland 14 since Cleveland had a better division record and the same conference record

  9. Browns #13, Ravens #14 is a bad flashback to 2006. Phil Savage swaps out of #12 for the Ravens #13 so the Ravens pick Haloti Ngata and Browns pick Kamerion Wimbley.

  10. Even if Howie makes the occasional good pick (Davonta Adams) there is no guarantee that the Iggles coaching staff won’t screw it up (Exhibit A – no targets for Adams in the first half of the playoff game)

  11. they should trade them so to KC good KCs first pick… KC pick is always better than the eagles..

The Giant;’s wouldn’t give them the 5th overall pick let alone anything else. Your prop is the worst I’ve ever seen. 300 million women in the tri-state area and borderline liberal to boot. Wrong fit, not to mention bad roster that would never compete without those picks. Brain-dead proposition. Hurts my head.

Watson’s best chance would be Atlanta as he’s from Georgia. I really can’t see too many other options. They’d be lucky to get a 2nd round pick for him. How much of D. Hopkins was built into Watson anyway? Murray looked lost without him.

It’s a beyond multi billion dollar industry that prints money for the owners. The executives? Yeah, they need to win but the owners are there for life and that club really doesn’t ‘need’ to win, outside of ego, and would only get grief with Watson on board. Houston’s stuck….exception may be Atlanta. Houston’s best option is to hire a coach Watson likes or just cut bait. He’s borderline untouchable.

PS: Just because Houston makes stupid trades doesn’t mean those picks are ever coming back from even stupider trade by another team. Keep dreaming.

  13. “Shouldn’t the Ravens be above the Browns?” Maybe for a tiebreaker between just those two, but the Vikings are also 8-9 making it a 3 way tie and draft positioning also has different tie breakers than the playoff race since its interconference tiebreakers which are different since conference record doesnt work. I think it goes to record against common opponents instead

  14. Best man available with at least one of the two consecutive picks. But I agree with everyone calling for the team to rebuild its defense.

  15. Whomever takes Thibodeaux out of Oregon WILL be sorry. He’s got injury/material priority written all over.

  16. So the headline really is Howie roseman will screw up the 15th, 16th , and 19th picks of the 2022 NFL draft

When Brady retires this year, have fun going back to cheering for a 6 win team.
