The Giants started their head coaching interviews later than most other teams looking for new ones this offseason, but they’re making good progress.

They got their first two interviews out of the way by speaking with Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. Albert Breer of SI.com reports that Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will join the list on Monday.

Quinn has also interviewed with or is set to interview with the Broncos, Bears, Vikings and Dolphins. All of the interest would seem to be a good sign for his chances of getting back in a top job after being fired by the Falcons early in the 2020 season.

The Giants are also expected to interview their defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and there’s been word that former Dolphins coach Brian Flores could also be in the mix.

  1. He should be radioactive after his stint in Atlanta, and he had FAR better weapons there than anything they currently have in NY.

  2. Quinn is a winner. He got ATL to the SB. The blown lead in the SB is as much on Shanahan’s offense. Giants need a former HC who’s had success not a bright young coordinator this time. I’ll take Quinn, Caldwell, Frazier, Harbaugh, Del Rio even Flores over Daboll. Hopefully the new GM improves the talent or it won’t matter.

  3. I was looking at the extensive Giants FA list ~ 30 players. Beyond Lorenzo Carter and Jabrill Peppers who is coming off a serious injury, there’s no big money guys. This shows the level of talent and the work the new GM/HC has to do. You need an experienced HC to go with the young GM. Solder and Hernandez are on that FA list, 2 of Gettleman’s major FA/Draft additions.

  4. i say they take Daboll and he brings Mitch Trubisky with him from Buffalo to compete with Daniel Jones.

  5. Quinn wouldn’t be the worst option. His time Atl HC wasn’t all bad. If he’s got time to build something and get actual good players….
