San Francisco receiver/running back Deebo Samuel made one of the biggest plays of the game on Saturday night when he ran for nine yards on third-and-7 with a minute left, setting up the game-winning field goal. But after that play, he appeared to be injured.

The good news is, Samuel indicated just moments after limping off the field that he felt fine.

“My ankle got twisted up and I got scared there for a minute, but I’ll be all right,” Samuel said on NFL Network after the game.

Samuel was seen walking around after the game without a limp, and he did not appear to seek any medical treatment. So from all indications, the 49ers’ top offensive playmaker will be good to go in the NFC Championship Game.

  1. This team not only has Deebo, they have Kittle, Aiyuk, Mitchell and Juscyk behind a great O line. Also don’t forget they have the best defense in the league on the other side of the ball.

  2. Everything hurts a little more when it is that cold. He also took a helmet smack to the knee on that run.

  3. Deebo is legit my favorite NFL player to watch in a long time. The player he reminds me of most is Percy Harvin in his prime with the Vikings but tougher and with a much better attitude. Completely opposite of your deva superstar wide receiver. Swiss army knife that punishes the defense.

  4. Dude is team MVP this year. The way they expanded his usage to more RB was genius. Love watching him play, extremely instinctual cutbacks on his runs, shifty moves, speed, hands, toughness.

  5. Samuel played a great game and dictated to the GB defense, especially on that third down run that gave them a first down to milk the clock before the winning FG.

  6. He broke tackles of Z Smith and J Alexander to get the first down. Guess those stars didn’t make a difference after all? Full strength GB Def right!

  7. both defenses played great 49ers just seemed to play with more intensity and desire

  8. As a Packer fan,…. that kid is a stud. He will give other teams coaches a big league headache for many years to come.

True both defenses played hard,… but the difference was the Packers Special Teams mistakes. That was 10 points for SF. The blocked punt for 7 and the Pack lost an easy 3 pts on the FG block.
