No one was sadder about Von Miller leaving Denver than Von Miller, but things worked out pretty well for him in Los Angeles. They worked out so well, in fact, that Miller could return to the Rams next season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Miller and the Rams have mutual interest in the pass rusher’s return.

Miller is scheduled to become a free agent later this month, and he is expected to command a big pay day. The team, however, plans to “do everything it can to bring him back,” per Rapoport.

Miller, 33, has never hit free agency. He wants to explore the market before committing to a return, Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reported before the Super Bowl.

The Rams traded second and third-round picks to the Broncos for Miller during the 2021 season. After rehabbing an ankle injury, Miller made five sacks and eight tackles for loss in the final four regular-season games.

Miller added four more sacks and six tackles for loss in the postseason.

He is the leading active sacks leader with 115.5, which ranks 22nd in NFL history.

  1. Of course there’s mutual interest, just so long as LA matches/exceeds all other offers on the open market…

  2. He was awesome after adjusting to the new team/scheme. His value will be fairly high on the open market. Right now the Rams are projected to be $20M over the Cap, so I just don’t see him returning to the Rams.

  3. Almost every player in the league would play in LA given their drug gets. The Rams have an unfair advantage. They’ll restructure and extend Donald and Stafford and make it happen. Rams are at the start of a dynastic run. Rest of the league and its fans can only look on enviously

  4. He’s 33 years old. The next team that signs him to a big money contract will end up regretting it.

  5. He benefitted playing alongside Aaron Donald. He has little left in the tank.

Doubtful. It’s not like hes signing a 7 year deal. He likely signs a 3 yr deal(structured as 4 for cap reasons) but even if he signs a 4 yr deal and lets say he falls off a cliff athletically after 2 years, if your a playoff team that he helps put you over the top even 1 year it’s well worth it

  7. One of his quotes about playing with the Rams is that it’s “like playing in the Pro Bowl.” Contracts will get reworked and Von Miller will be back. OBJ will also be back. Miller, OBJ, and Aaron Donald love playing together. Miller, Donald, and Ramsey are why we have a great defense.
