Last month, free agent Ndamukong Suh confirmed he was interested in signing with the Raiders.

Then reporting emerged that Suh, 35, had also had some conversations with the Vikings.

Now there’s a third team in the mix.

According to Tyler Dragon of USA TODAY, the Browns are interested in signing Suh.

Cleveland has All-Pro Myles Garrett to lead their defensive front and re-signed Jadeveon Clowney for the unit this spring. But the presumptive starting defensive tackles, Taven Bryan and Jordan Elliott, have a combined 21 starts between them.

Suh has 191 — including all 17 games last year. He played 63 percent of Tampa Bay’s defensive snaps, recording 6.0 sacks, seven tackles for loss, and 13 quarterback hits. He also had a fumble recovery.

Since entering the league, Suh has 70.5 sacks, 130 tackles for loss, and 212 quarterback hits. He’s a three-time, first-team All-Pro, and a five-time Pro Bowler, though his last All-Star selection was in 2016.

Signing Suh would give Cleveland three top-two draft picks along their defensive line. Suh was selected at No. 2 overall in 2010. Clowney was the top pick in 2014. And Garrett was No. 1 overall in 2017.

Dragon added that Suh is likely to sign with a team closer to the start of training camp.

  1. So I guess we know Suh is done now. Interest from the NFL’s official clown franchise usually means your career is over.

  2. Because of course they are. Who cares about the optics now. Let’s just turn the whole franchise into a full blown circus.

  3. I wonder sometimes teams fake interest to drive the price up. Hurts the other teams from a salary cap standpoint and doesn’t cost you a nickel.

  4. Suh seems to want to play for a contender. The Cleveland Brownstuff does not have a QB.

  5. So he played in Detroit, and that wasn’t bad enough? WHY would he go to the Browns??? He must be kind hearted, and inerested in finishing his career as a charity. Self inflicted torture for all free agents signing in Cleveland.

  6. Cleveland has to go all-in on their defense this year because they know they are going to end up in a lot of low scoring games. Hard to score when your starting QB will be a 3rd stringer on most teams outside of Seattle.

  7. So the Brown’s are a clown show cuz they want to talk to Suh but if it was Tampa Bay or another team it would be fine. Seems like all anyone wants to do is call certain teams clowns etc but then post nothing their team does is wrong sorry but quit complaining and grow up

  8. He took a look at the Cleveland Browns cap space and said “I wanna play there”. Don’t kid yourself.

  9. Suh has been doing the Browns favors ever since he power bombed Jake Delhomme knocking him out of the game. Would love to have him here.

  10. Truly amazing how many actually think the Browns are not a playoff caliber team. Do you people actually watch football on Sundays?

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////They still think we won’t have a qb this year. Sad part is, even if we don’t, we’re still one of the best rosters in the NFL, and if Watson does play, who’s really gonna stop us realistically? Nobody. They can hate all they want, we’re 1 year removed from a playoff win, and our roster is better than it was then. They’re just salty cause they know the reality is that if he plays, we are going deep into the playoffs.

  12. He’s still productive and brings heat up the middle. I don’t know about the Browns, paired on a line with Jones and Crosby in Vegas could be nasty though. Ready for him to sign somewhere soon regardless.

  13. Second greatest Lion ever after Barry. Doesn’t get the credit he deserves..

  14. Truly amazing how many actually think the Browns are not a playoff caliber team.

    Playoff teams typically have QBs.

  15. Andrew Berry wants another low character guy on his team? Color me shocked.

  16. Bad move and old guy with a questionable motor isn’t worth it this GM needs to step up
    his game.
