Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White suffered a torn ACL on Thanksgiving night against the Saints. As 2021 training camp camp opens, White will be on the physically unable to perform list.

“He’s on schedule,” McDermott told reporters regarding White. “He looks really good. He’s working his tail off. And Tre is a consummate pro. So that has not changed. We’re excited to get him back when we can get him back.”

So what does “on schedule” mean? McDermott declined to get specific.

“He’s on schedule with what the trainers are telling me he’s on schedule,” McDermott said. “I think he’s got a great look in his eye. I know what he’s working back towards. And really other than that, that’s all I can say.”

Also on the PUP list, said McDermott, will be guard Ike Boettger and defensive tackle Eli Ankou.

McDermott added that safety Jordan Poyer, who wants a new contract, has shown up for camp and will practice. Poyer skipped voluntary workouts, but he attended the mandatory minicamp.

  1. It will be nice to get him back. They win that KC game if he’s playing.

  2. This guy is a big loss for the Bills…. Hopefully the Pats play them before he is back

  3. The Bills beat the Patriots twice last year without Tre…it’s the Bills offense that the Patriots should be concerned with…It’s been 8 plus quarters since the Bills have punted.

  4. CAP HELL.

Don’t check your notes and see the Patriots actually have less cap space than the Bills. Or that there’s only one team with less cap space than the Patriots due to having the most expensive group of pass catchers in the league. By 12 million. And none of them are good.

    CAPP HELL.

  5. It’s been 8 plus quarters since the Bills have punted.

Now if only the Bills could make KC punt….

White won’t be back until late November . It’s an 11-12 month injury and dbs need to be able to cut and accelerate, which puts a lot of stress on the acl . He won’t be the same this year when he comes back. They will have him playing nickel a lot.

The following year he should be 100 percent

  6. The Patriots will be a run first offense similar to San Fransisco’s offense so White will not be a factor. Buffalo has built its defense to stop the Chiefs offense but in the playoffs they will most likely run into teams like Tennessee, Cincy, Colts, Patriots, Steelers which run the football and can beat Buffalo.

Thanks, Dr. cancerman – but the Bills expect him back much sooner than that.

I agree with Cancerman. What the Bills “expect” notwithstanding.

  9. His injury would likely have him ‘back’ in November. However, he was running full speed. Given McDermott’s past, he’ll likely be worked into action slowly.

The teams with the best running backs are always great! Like the Vikings, panthers, giants, all awesome!

I seriously doubt either the Patriots or the Steelers will be playing in the postseason…. Hope I am wrong, but I just don’t see it
