Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert said last month that he was close to 100 percent after rehabbing the knee injury that kept him out for all but the first week of last season and it appears he’s gone the final mile.

Mostert posted on Twitter that he’s been fully cleared physically ahead of the official start to Dolphins camp. The AFC East team’s veteran players are due to report on Tuesday.

Mostert signed with the Dolphins as a free agent this offseason. The move reunited him with Mike McDaniel, who was the 49ers run game coordinator before being bumped up to offensive coordinator last year and landing the head coaching position in Miami early this year.

The Dolphins also signed Chase Edmonds and Sony Michel as free agents. Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed return from last year’s squad.

  1. I have a feeling it won’t be long before he has yet another injury. This guy is always injured.

  2. This seems like an ‘over the hill gang’ of veteran running backs on their last legs for the Dolphins.

  3. This is the best RB squad the Dolphins have had in years. With Waddle and Hill stretching the opposing defenses and wearing them down, these guys should have a great year.

  4. “This seems like an ‘over the hill gang’ of veteran running backs on their last legs for the Dolphins.”

Other than Mostert who is 30, which one of the other under 27 RB’s is ‘over the hill’?

  5. Over the hill might be the wrong term, but Edmonds, Mostert, Gaskin, & Michel have all had good games, but haven’t produced consistently enough to be labeled as the #1 RB.
