Wide receiver Tim Patrick needed assistance to leave the field after going down with an injury during Tuesday’s practice at Broncos training camp.

According to multiple reports from the practice, Patrick went down with a right leg injury after making a leaping catch. Practice came to a halt and players gathered around Patrick as a cart came out to take him for further evaluation.

With practice still going, there’s no word on his condition from the Broncos yet.

Patrick signed a three-year contract extension with the Broncos last November. He followed up a 51-catch season in 2020 with 53 catches for 734 yards and five touchdowns in 16 starts last year.

Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler, Kendall Hinton, Seth Williams, Travis Fulgham, Tyrie Cleveland, Trey Quinn, and fifth-rounder Montrell Washington are also on the roster at receiver in Denver.

  1. Denver is going to be in the basement of the AFC West. Charger, Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos!

  2. That’s horrible news especially with Patrick being one of their best WRs. All of the sudden the weight of the world is on KJ Hamlers shoulders who the Broncos are waiting on n hoping puts it together n breaks out. This will be a make or break year for him with a load of pressure on his shoulders to produce.

  3. We are getting these reports every day. This
is very discouraging to see, even if it is not your team. This is just the second day of padded practice and some were done before the pads came on. That is why all preseason predictions are to be taken lightly.

  4. Makes me wonder if some of these athletes are getting too strong in certain aspects and/or not built up enough in other areas. Maybe you just can’t improve ligament connection, etc. It is like drag racing where horsepower and compression can tear up the car or blow the engine. I would imagine horse racing experts would concur.

  5. Denver is absolutely going to finish 4th in the AFC West. Mr unlimited won’t make a difference
