The Steelers are waiving linebacker Ulysees Gilbert with an injury designation, Brooke Pryor of ESPN reports.

Gilbert is wearing a boot on his right foot.

Gilbert, primarily a special teamer, entered the league as a sixth-round choice in 2019. He played only seven games as a rookie and four in 2020 before seeing action in all 17 last year.

He played 36 defensive snaps and 337 on special teams in 2021.

In his 28-game career, he has 25 tackles.

  1. Seemed like he had a ton of potential each training camp but just couldn’t get over the hump. Time to give someone else an opportunity.

  2. I’ve noticed most of their players are desperate to join a different team. Pretty soon the Steelers won’t have enough players to field a team. No wonder all of their fans are so upset and crying all the time.

  3. The Browns are really struggling to find players willing to take a spot on their roster. At this rate, they might not be able to field a team. No wonder fans are so angry and crying all the time.
