Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver injured his ankle in last Thursday’s season-opening win over the Rams. He played only 17 of 66 defensive snaps and one on special teams.

Oliver said afterward that he was “fine” and had just “rolled over” his ankle.

But a week later, Oliver isn’t back on the field.

He was a non-participant at Thursday’s practice, but it’s too early to determine Oliver’s status for Monday night’s home opener against the Titans.

“We’ll just take it one day at a time. We’ll see where it goes from there,” coach Sean McDermott said, via Alec White of the team website.

Cornerback Dane Jackson (knee) and defensive tackle Tim Settle (calf) did not practice. Offensive lineman Tommy Doyle (foot) and tight end Quintin Morris (hamstring) were full participants.

  1. Not the guys you wanna be missing. 2 big guys up front vs Henry. We are better this year after beefing up but this is an issue. With that being said they passing game isn’t where it was previous years and we still should handle them. Expect Lawson to play he’s a good edge setter and expect an extra in the box maybe even Neal from the secondary. Their pass catchers don’t scare anyone

Deepest team in the league It’ll be close on Monday night always is with TN but we win by 10 or 14 in a relatively close game

  2. If we have learned anything from the NFL, things change quickly from week to week. As I recall the Titans lost to the Jets last year too.
