Bills have beaten Super Bowl champion Rams, No. 1 seed Titans by combined 72-17

The Bills entered this season as the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl. Through two games, they’ve been even better than expected.

The schedule makers did the Bills no favors, giving them last year’s Super Bowl champion Rams in Week One and last year’s AFC No. 1 seed titans in Week Two.

Combined score: Bills 72, Rams+Titans 17.

The Bills’ 41-7 destruction of the Titans on Monday Night Football was the most lopsided result of this NFL season, and the Bills’ 31-10 win over the Rams in the Thursday night opener was the fourth-largest margin of victory so far this NFL season. The Bills’ total point differential of 55 points this season is the best in the NFL; no other team has outscored its opponent by even half as many points. (The Chiefs and Buccaneers are second with a total point differential of 26 points through two games.)

Buffalo’s schedule doesn’t get easier in the coming weeks, with road games at Miami and Baltimore next, followed by a home game against the Steelers and then a road game at Kansas City and a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Packers. The Bills have plenty of big games ahead, and they look like they’re very much up to the task.

  1. As a Bills fan of 40 +years, it’s fun to watch. I’m just worried about all the injuries piling up. Hoping Dane Jackson is ok first and foremost. But we’ve got several key starters getting injured – especially in the secondary that is already w/o Tre White. And next up is a short week against those Miami receivers.

  2. Bills look like by far ad away the best team in the league and the prohibitive SB favorite. Of course that was also true last year.

  3. Superbowl champions aren’t crowned after week 2, but you have to like the start that the Bills have had thus far. Injuries and focus will be the key moving forward.

  4. Was really happy to see how their D handled the run. Derrick Henry looked more like the Great Pretender instead of the King.

It’s no foregone conclusion that they will even win the AFC, let alone the SB, but they’ve got a legitimate shot!

  5. Buffalo has clearly outclassed their opening two opponents, but it’s hard to say at this point whether that’s more of a statement about the Bills or one about the Rams and Titans.
Rams almost lost to the Falcons.
    Titans lost to the Giants.
Whatever they may have been last season, they clearly aren’t that now.

  6. Bills look awesome. The NFL wanted an LA Super Bowl and they handed them an opponent they could beat. LA and Cincy look below average at best. The Super Bowl last year was the Chiefs and Bills. Had either of them played the Rams it would’ve been a blowout win for the AFC. The LA market remains horrible despite giving them a Super Bowl.

  7. The Bills look very impressive…they should be well on their way to a fifth Super Bowl loss.

  8. I guess you should probably just hand them the Lombardi trophy then right? Let’s not forget this same Titans team was just beat by the Giants the week before. The Rams just squeaked by the Falcons. What they did last season has no bearing on this year. I admit the Bills look great, but we’ve got a long season here. Anything can happen and the games still have to be played.

  9. It’s irrelevant. Ask the 2003 Bills who beat the Pats 31-0 and then won their next game 38-17 how that season ended. The way they are playing, injuries are going to add up and equalize things.

  10. In spite of being a Pats fan I would love for the Bills to win a SB this year or in the near future. Buffalo fans deserve one. However I caution people to remember they’ve only played 3.4% of the regular season so far. And it’s a long season. None-the-less they look phenomenal and Buffalo’s stadium fans have been beyond outstanding. Also, I would love for the great Marv Levy to see a SB Championship for Buffalo before he leaves us.

  11. This has the making of a team that only loses one or two games during the regular season but then loses their first playoff game

  12. Scored 4 less points than the 2007 Patriots

Allowed 11 points less than the 2007 Patriots

.. the Patriots opened 2007 with the 4-12 J-E-S-T, jests, jests, jests

  13. At this point it’s hard to tell if the Bills are that good or the Rams and Titans are that bad. Stay tuned

  14. They will go one and done in the playoffs against a team they dominated in the regular season. We’ve see this movie too many times.

  15. The LA market remains horrible despite giving them a Super Bowl.

If Los Angeles County was made a State, it would be the 11th largest in the US. Think about that.

The NFL has to have a presence there.

  16. It doesn’t matter who they’ve beaten so far, and it doesn’t matter what the score has been, because the Bills haven’t won ANYTHING of significance since their glory days almost 30 years ago. They’ve accomplished nothing, and Come crunch time they’ll do what they’re best known for – They’ll fold like a lawn chair

  17. “The Bills will always choke” is such a tired narrative, and ignores pretty much all of sports history.

Which is loaded w/ teams who failed repeatedly, then flipped the script.

Appreciate that. They’ve played 11.8% of the regular season, however.

  19. If the topic were any other team than Buffalo, would all these cheesy comments (It’s only September !, They’ll fold in the playoffs, etc.) even be posted here ?

Buffalo is the proverbial ‘low hanging fruit’. They’ll take the wins and not apologize. Keep an open mind doubters. This team is very, legitimately good.

  20. The Bills look great, but we need to remember that it’s only been two weeks. Week one never means anything.

I know that it’s fun to anoint the Super Bowl winner in September, but we shall see. The Bills look unbeatable and they have an easy schedule. As always, we’ll see what happens when they play KC.

  21. Ah yes, the mighty mighty Titans, who just got embarrassed by the Giants at home. What a great win for the Bills…. I’ve never seen Stefon Diggs so happy. I guess that happens when you’ve lost to the Titans two years in a row, including a 42-16 beating to a bunch of COVID replacement players in 2020… it’s about time

  22. Keep it up Buffalo and you can join the Patriots and Broncos on loosing 5 Super Bowl if you get that far

  23. “Keep an open mind doubters. This team is very, legitimately good.”

Yes, the team is very good, but there are 15 more games to be played BEFORE the playoffs. Remember the Arizona Cardinals? They won their first 7 games last year, including against the Rams (Super Bowl Champions), Vikings and Niners.

    How’d that turn out?

Having said that , I consider the Bills to be one of the top two teams in the NFL. BUt a lot can happen between now and the playoffs.

  24. “Keep it up Buffalo and you can join the Patriots and Broncos on loosing 5 Super Bowl if you get that far”

Losing in a Super Bowl means that your team is still better than 30 other teams that couldn’t even make it to a super bowl.

  25. This is the NFLs Golden Age, Josh Allen is the new Tom Brady and the patriots are the new browns. belicheat is the new Jeff Fisher without Bradys coattails to ride. All of this was obvious before the season.
