Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is continuing to show that he’s a unique player in NFL history.

Jackson had 218 passing yards and 107 rushing yards in the Ravens’ 37-26 win over the Patriots today. Those numbers are highly unusual for any other quarterback in NFL history, but par for the course for Jackson.

Today was Jackson’s 14th career double-triple, which is when a player records triple-digit yardage in two different statistical categories. Jackson has now done that in two consecutive games and done it 11 times in the regular season and twice in the postseason. No one in NFL history has come close to Jackson’s record on double-triples.

Michael Vick has the second-most double-triples in NFL history, with eight. And Vick played in 149 games in his career to record those eight double-triples. Jackson’s 14th double-triple came in his 64th career game.

Other than Jackson and Vick, no one in NFL history has more than four double-triples.

Through three Sundays of this NFL season, Jackson is a leading candidate for league MVP. He’s doing things no other quarterback can do.

  1. Once Lawrence Guy went down, that helped the overall scheme but the Mac Jones 2 INTs allowed Baltimore more possesisions than they should have had.

Pats offense is the problem, not the D. Pass D did pretty good and the 2 turnovers should have been actual momentum shifters. Should have.

I don’t know what game you were watching but that D is not good…. It’s downright painful to watch

His record is sub-500 when he reaches that” feat”? Hilariously useless stat.——————–‐————————-Thats Just shows Lamar Jackson’s greatness. He rarely losses (best record through 50 games in NFL history) and when he does it’s not his fault he plays great. The price is just going up for the soon to be 2x MVP.

  4. Not getting his extension seems to have motivated him even more.

Who woulda thought money could motivate a man? Go figure.

  5. Vick was even more electric than lamar. He was just shoe horned into a drop back offense where his only running was on broken plays. I couldn’t imagine Vick in Greg Roman’s offense.

  6. not to take away from Lamar, but Michael Vick did what he did when the league was frowning on that sort of thing from QB’s and running an offense where his rushes largely came from blown plays. Designing offenses around rushing like the Ravens do is not something Vick teams ever did. If Vick was doing the Ravens offense, he’d have double what Lamar has. Just sayin…

  7. It’s easy when you have a franchise QB like Jackson. If you have a bust like mac jones you have no chance.

How many rings does Vick have?————Same number as Dan Marino and One less than Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Trent Dilfer.

Are you serious. Vick was never the passer that LJ is. To suggest he Vick would double LJ’s production in the Ravens offense is ridiculous.
