Patriots downgrade receiver Jakobi Meyers to out

We already knew that the Patriots wouldn’t have starting quarterback Mac Jones for Sunday’s game against the Packers at Lambeau Field, given an ankle injury. We now know that the Patriots won’t have starting receiver Jakobi Meyers on Sunday.

The Patriots have ruled Meyers out for Sunday’s game, with a knee injury. He previously was listed as questionable.

The fact that none of the other six players listed as questionable have been downgraded to out implies that they all will travel to Green Bay. That doesn’t mean they’ll play; it means they’ll be available to play.

The questionable players include safety Joshua Bledsoe (groin), safety Kyle Dugger (knee), nose tackle Davon Godchaux (back), linebacker Raekwon McMillan (thumb), cornerback Jalen Mills (hamstring), and defensive back Adrian Phillips (rib).

Meyers had nine catches for 95 yards in Week Two against the Steelers. He didn’t play last weekend against the Ravens, due to the knee injury.

  1. Tom Brady is nothing but a nice little system QB with a weak little arm who is the only QB ever suspended for cheating by the league. Like Alex Smith

Tommy really is nothing without his all star team around him. 22nd in passing yards and his fan club thinks he’s good 😂😂😂😂

  2. Belichick just loves losing, doesn’t he?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++

I told his believers that he would be fired within 2 seasons.

The longer he stays, the more he will be exposed.

  3. Not that they were gonna go into Lambeau and win anyway, but that’s a lot of key guys. Both starting DTs(GBay can run the FB),2/3 of their best safeties, their 2nd best CB and their best WR. I thought they might keep it close since the Pack isn’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard, but yikes.

I’m not a fan, but you do realize he’s 45 right?

  5. Brady is the only quarterback suspended for air pressure and then went on to retire with eight rings. We all know it’s coming. It’s expected for a quarterback at 45 to have underwhelming games every here and there.

  6. The last place patriots have one of the worst rosters in the league. They were an irrelevant joke team before Brady, they’re an irrelevant joke team after Brady. Belichick can’t draft or sign a FA to save his garbage hand picked team.

  7. The longer he stays, the more he will be exposed

I agree the longer Brady stays the more he is exposed as someone who never was that good he was just on good teams. Just like Alex Smith.

22nd in yards and 14th in rating 😂 wasn’t this guy supposed to be so awesome he elevates his team around him to greatness? Guess not! 😬

  8. Fun fact:

Since he won a Super Bowl a decade ago Aaron Rodgers has benefited from a top ten scoring defense the same number of times that Tom Brady has NOT benefited from a top ten scoring defense.

    Once.

    Let that sink in.

  9. They both played in the NFL and had season ending injuries. A resemblance there. Let’s see, Smith’s highest #s were 26 TDs and 4,042 yards passing with a QBR of 65.1. Brady has thrown 26 or more TDs in a season 15x. Thrown over 4K yards 13x. Bested Smith’s QBR 13x. The resemblance is amazing! Smith does have 67 losses to Brady’s 74 in 154 less games.

  10. You say QBR is the metric of greatness. Why didn’t you say it last year when he was #2 in the league? I know you just want your daily attention.

The second winningest coach in NFL history loves losing? Okay then.

  12. Rodgers had a top 10 scoring defense in 2019 and 2020. He also had one when he got carried against the Bears in 2010. Rodgers still lost all four playoff matchups against the Niners. I don’t remember Brady being held to just a touchdown in a playoff game in his own stadium as well.

I love how Patriot haters are still so obsessed. Trauma runs deep, I guess…

Thye’ve been scarred for life. It’s never been seen in the history of sports. It’s funny, but also kinda sad and representative of their rest of their life outside of being a sports fan.

    lmao

  14. Belichick has only won with Brady. So much for having a winning record when your driver is gone and you’re headed straight towards a cliff.

    Oh the irony…

  16. Belichick had Brady in 2019 and the season ended with a pick 6 to Logan Ryan at home in the playoffs.

Posts like show that Patriots fans are different from fans of any other teams.

The #1 receiver Brady had was a 31 year old, crippled, slot receiver (who dropped a critical pass on 2nd and 6 because he was injured). ANY fans of ANY other teams would be very angry at the coach who gave his QB such WR squad, only Pats fans blame the loss on QB.

  18. Monyanta’s last years were 83.4 and 83.7. Brady’s last two years were 102.1 and 89.2..

  19. Rodgers had a top 10 scoring defense in 2019 and 2020
    ——
Rodgers had the #13 scoring defense in the league in 2020. Yes #9 in 2019 and like I said that was the only time he had a top 10 scoring d since he won a Super Bowl.

Brady had a top 10 scoring d every single year except one.

Funny that a Tommy lovers can’t admit the obvious. Brady had a massive advantage that other QBs don’t have. Rings are a team accomplishment not a QB accomplishment.

  20. Brady is the luckiest quarterback to ever play in the NFL. Fact. All quarterbacks are lucky once in awhile. You can assume a percentage of pure luck is nearly equal for all. He’s been around longer than any other. LOAT.

  21. Brady is the luckiest quarterback to ever play in the NFL. Fact.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++

He is the most unlucky QB to ever to play in the NFL

#1, Brady was injured in AFCCG before 1st SB against Giants.
#2, Gronk was injured in AFCCG before 2nd SB against Giants.
    #3, Tyree catch
    #4, Manningham catch
    #5, Kerase catch.
#6, Jafer Gaffney drop in 2007 afccg.
#7, Wes welker drop in SB.
    #8, Asante Samuel dropped interception
#9,Missing extra 1 point in 2016 afccg against Broncos.
#10, AdamV missed 2FG against Panthers in SB.
    #11, Does Julio’s catch count?

#12 Belichick’s cheapness caused Pats SB in 2006 season.
#13, SB against Eagles, Belichick caused Pats 3 peat.

BTW, the 2015 SB, he could have won easily with any of other 11 defenses in playoff.
