Bradley Chubb has heard trade reports, but he’s focused on the task at hand

Last year, the Broncos traded linebacker Von Miller despite having a 4-4 record through eight games. With the 2022 Broncos slumping to a 2-5 start, trade chatter has emerged regarding linebacker Bradley Chubb.

After Sunday’s loss to the Jets, Chubb was asked about the reports.

“Yeah I heard about them but I’m just focused on trying to help my guys fight through this,” Chubb said, via Mike Klis of 9News.com. “I know it’s a business and anything can happen but all I care about right now is my guys and trying to get this thing turned around.”

It worked out well last year for Miller; he ended up winning a Super Bowl before becoming a free agent and scoring a major deal with the Bills.

Chubb, in the last year of his rookie deal, also is on track to become a free agent in the offseason. Perhaps a high-end contender will make the Broncos an offer they can’t (or at least won’t) refuse for a guy who may be leaving after the season, anyway.

  1. There is no task at hand. Your team is hot garbage. Your QB is washed. You have the worst coach in football. He will be fired. This is a lost season Bradley.

  2. The Seahawks should touch base with the Broncos about a trade. The Seahawks seem to have a few extra draft picks, and they are Leading their Division the NFC West. They could probably use some depth, and their last trade with the Broncos turned out pretty good….

    Go Gino!
    Go Hawks!

  3. 2018 Broncos draft – we have our choice of Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. Nah, we’re happy with Case Keenum.

  4. The Broncos have a good defense. I think it would be hard to give away pieces of the only part of your team that is working. Bill Belichick likes this kid. If you throw in Jeudy the Pats will give you Borne.

  5. AZ What inquired about Brian Burns so I have no doubt Steve Keim is trying to trade for Chubb. AZ has an excellent defense that’s been playing top 8-12 caliber football since week 2 with a bunch of young talent getting better n better with each week, landing a pass rusher like Chubb would shore up their only weakness defensively putting their defense over the top giving them a top notch pass rusher between Chubb, Gardeck, Golden, rookies MyJai Sanders n Cam Thomas who are studs n excellent inside pass rushers JJ Watt, Zac Allen, Rashard Lawerence n Michael Dogbe. Hopefully AZ can get that done. With AZs offense getting healthy and starting to play very well at a high level now that LM has weapons at receiver they’ll be very good in the coming weeks and once Hollywood Brown returns in about a month from now they’ll be an absolute force offensively few teams have the talent to matchup with.

  6. Bronco Defense is the only ting they have going, makes sense to start to tear it down. Solid ownership moving to the glue factor.

  7. These guys could have Josh Allen and be the envy of the league, instead they are looking to trade away the guy they took in place of him.

  8. The GM Grier likes to trade so maybe the Fish’s TE Geiseki for Denver’s LB Chubb – Miami lost Needham and is already thin at LB.

  9. Philly and AZ seem to make sense. Philly has picks to spare and could go all in for this season with their record. AZ’s weakness is getting pressure on the QB and they are still in the hunt in an open NFC West, and DC Vance Joseph drafted Chubb. He’d be a good future replacement for aging Watt if he played well in his final rookie contract year as a guy who gets to the QB.

  10. As much as I’d like to throw the Vikings’ into the discussion for Chubb, I don’t think the Vikings have the needed draft capital to get him – nor the salary cap space to sign him long-term.

Hey it could be worse they could of wasted a 1st rd pick on Mac Jones, now that woulda been a disaster. Only reason they’re trading Chubb is because they’ll be rebuilding next year, just like your Patriots.
