49ers rule Deebo Samuel out

49ers General Manager John Lynch said on Friday morning that wide receiver Deebo Samuel is the kind of player that the team gives as much time as possible to show that he’s healthy enough to play, but they obviously don’t think there’s any benefit into taking a decision about this Sunday’s game against the Rams into the weekend.

The 49ers ruled Samuel out after he missed his third straight practice with a hamstring injury. It will be the first game that Samuel has missed this season and his absence could set the stage for running back Christian McCaffrey to play a more sizable role in his second game with the team.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw (calf), fullback Kyle Juszczyk (finger), and defensive tackle Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) are also going to be out for the 49ers this weekend.

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings (hamstring) and cornerback Jason Verrett (knee) are listed as questionable.

  1. If Rams lose this weekend they better start selling off anything they can by Tuesday morning.

For draft picks? Hmmm I thought

  3. Can we please fire the trainers and strength and conditioning coaches of this team already? I am tired of this

  4. This is why he wanted to be traded. Keep using him like a RB and he’s going to miss games/years.

  5. I love Simms makes EVERY excuse in the book for KC, the 49ers/KC was NEVER close. It was 28-16 to start the 4th, and when SF score a TD to make it 28-23, KC promptly put up another 14 UNANSWERED points. In what world is that close?? Simms bias towards SF is unbearable at this point.

I hear you. Eagles had that problem for years and I believe canned everyone.

I get that you are upset because you hate the niners and possibly your team is not good but at least get somethings right – it was 28-23, 44 seconds into the forth quarter and stayed that way till around 10 mins left, when it became 35-23. That’s still not too far, except Jimmy did what he often does – give away free points.
So, those are the facts. I’ll readily admit that the niners are deficient at the QB position despite being very good in other areas. That’s why KC could take them to the cleaners.

  8. Football is a violent sport and Shanahan has a history of shortening the careers of his skill players. Maybe it’s time for Deebo to learn to code.
