Micah Parsons compares the Packers to roaches, in a good way

The Packers have lost five games in a row. The Cowboys want to make it six.

Linebacker Micah Parsons knows that, to accomplish that, they can’t go easy on Green Bay.

“My grandma told me,” Parsons said, via Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports, “if you see a roach and it’s fooling around, do you step on it and bury it or do you let it rebuild and get back to life? You step on it. I live life with no remorse. You can’t have no remorse in this game [or] it turns up to bite you.”

Quality of delivery aside, Parsons has a point. The Cowboys can’t take the Packers lightly. The Cowboys can’t view the Packers as a “bad” team. Dallas needs to think of Green Bay as the team that won three in a row before falling in London to the Giants.

Aaron Rodgers continues to say that he believes the Packers can turn it around. What else can he say? We stink? We’re done? Why bother?

Still, we see unexpected outcomes every week. If the Packers can upset the Cowboys, Green Bay can then try to topple the Titans. At that point, 3-6 will become 5-6 — and they’d get a chance to be the first team to beat the Eagles, if Philly keeps winning.

  1. Rodgers is paid as a top-tier, game-changing, difference-maker. He must show us why, or plan his exit.

  2. as an eagles fan (without wishing to tempt fate against the Washington lawsuits). The titans will run straight through us for our first defeat. I would love to go 17-0 but first seed is most important so a couple of defeats can be lived with. green bay scored 9 points on a Detroit team we put 38 so they wont be one to give us a lose on primetime

  3. the Packers just don’t have the talent to compete with teams like the Cowboys, Titans, or Eagles. it isnt going to get any better until they can eventually move on from Rodgers and build a legit roster around Jordan Love (or a new quarterback in the draft)

  4. I think he means Packer fans. This summer’s off-season champions proclaimers have run and hid and don’t show up much anymore

  5. The Detroit Lions developed and executed the blueprint for stopping Aaron last Sunday. That’s a sentence no one has ever been able to legitimately write before.

  6. On any given Sunday, Monday or Thursday games in the NFL,anything can happen. The teams that play better or execute better will always win, no matter whose the favorite. Don’t ever underestimate any team.

  7. If Rodgers has another tough 1st half,.. I really think LaFleur needs to consider giving Jordan Love some snaps. Gotta see if he improved from last year. And I don’t care if Rodgers has a fit being benched. Loves 5th year option decision is coming up,… $20 mil.
