Justin Jefferson made the Pro Bowl each of his first two seasons, but he has never made All-Pro. Davante Adams, Cooper Kupp and Deebo Samuel made it over Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase last year, and in 2020, Adams, Stefon Diggs and Tyreek Hill were the choices over Jefferson and four others.

This season, though, Jefferson arguably has been the league’s top wideout.

That showed up in early 2023 Pro Bowl voting, with Jefferson leading all players in balloting with 90,313 votes.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (87,384 votes) ranks second overall, while Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (85,785), Giants running back Saquon Barkley (83,947) and Hill (83,576) round out the top five.

The Vikings lead all clubs in total votes received. The Ravens, Chiefs, Dolphins and Eagles round out the current top five.

Interestingly, the NFC quarterback to receive the most votes is Seattle’s Geno Smith with 70,230. No one would have guessed that before the season began, but Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady‘s struggles this season have opened up the position on the NFC Pro Bowl ballot.

Voting continues until Thursday, Dec. 15, and fans can vote as often as they want.

Roster selections are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 88 Pro Bowl players. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on Friday, Dec. 16.

  1. I don’t typically watch Minnesota games though I got to watch a couple recently. Justin Jefferson is the best WR in league. Chase might be better with the ball in his hands, diggs is a better pure route runner, but Jefferson is the best overall WR. Think of this year and try to imagine Minnesota without him.

  2. Henry Ruggs was draft before Justin. Just like they took that Bey guy 7th overall because he was a 98 speed.

Unfortunately, I watch every Vikings game and this year has been one of the better seasons to seasons to watch. But you are right; JJ is currently the most valuable player to any team in determining if they win or lose. Considering the Vikings are 9-2… bout time to see a non-QB win the MVP.

  4. The thing with Justin Jefferson is that you can watch the highlights and see how talented he is but he’s more than that. He’s exceptional off the field as well and such a well spoken and highly motivated kid who is so easy to root for. I know a WR has never won an MVP and JJ probably won’t either but he’s BY FAR the most valuable player on the Vikings and in the NFC North.

  5. Great player, fantastic player, but between that goofy smile with the gold grills and the annoying goofy griddy – kids prob love that goofy crap so he will get a lot of votes from the little jits on IG

  6. No way geno should be getting more votes than Hurts. You people need to study up on the game of football and know what you are looking at

Only watched Minn vs the Boys, he must’ve been hiding somewhere?

Oh, he was there, and had plenty of seperation from that vaunted Dallas D…it’s just that Cousins spent all night looking at the ceiling. Hard to throw downfield from your back.

  8. packer fan here, our trio of wide receivers, their names escape me right now, all should be ahead of Jefferson
