Safety Johnathan Abram is headed back to the waiver wire.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Packers are going to waive Abram on Tuesday. Abram joined the team earlier this month when Green Bay claimed him off of waivers from the Raiders.

Abram did not play against the Eagles last Sunday night and played just one defensive snap in two appearances with the Packers. He played 28 special teams snaps and made two tackles.

Abram was a Raiders first-round pick in 2019 and he started 34 of 36 games during his time with the team. He has 257 tackles, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries over his entire career.

  1. LOL!

Guy was awful. Someone recently said he was their best DB in the Raiders secondary. I laughed.

  2. He was featured when the Raiders were on “Hard Knocks” recently. He likes to talk and run his mouth constantly.
Never shuts up. He’s going to be the loudest guy on the grill at El Pollo Loco.

  3. This just had to be said again since it was so funny!

  4. This reminds me of a neighbor who takes the broken TV off your hands in front of your house and then finds out it was really broken.

  5. Wasn’t Mike Mayok supposed to be all that and then some in the talent evaluation department? and has anyone even seen or heard from him since departing the team, He and Gruden set that team back quite alot to be so highly thought of

  6. Rick Bisaccia is a good guy and tried to do one of his boys a solid and keep him employed. Then he realized, he really does suck. No matter where you put him.
