Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is doubtful for today’s game against the Steelers, and he’s not likely to be able to play next week, either.

Jackson will probably not be ready to return on Saturday against the Browns, and will more likely be back on Christmas Eve against the Falcons, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jackson, who suffered a sprained PCL last week, may not be at 100 percent even when he does return.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will start as long as Jackson is out, and Anthony Brown is Huntley’s backup.

The 8-4 Ravens are currently tied with the Bengals for first place in the AFC North, and with two divisional games in a row coming up, this is crunch time in the playoff race. If the Ravens are going to win those two games, they’re going to win with Huntley, not Jackson.

  1. It seems like the Ravens have lost the most games to injuries over the last 2 years than any team I can recall. It would be an interesting stat to see…games lost over 2-consecutive-years.
I don’t feel sorry for them.

  2. Don’t fall asleep on Huntley. No, he’s not Lamar Jackson, but he’s one of the most capable back ups in the league. The Ravens defense is capable of pitching shutouts, and then there’s Justin Tucker. Huge game against the Steelers today.

  3. Easy 3-2 last 5 gms. Lightweights abound in remaining schedule. Cincy has to win gm 17 vs Ravens. Bills, Bucs, Pats still on Bengals agenda.

  4. Jackson is basically Michael Vick without the cannon arm. Keep him hemmed in, and make him play from the pocket. Unless he’s having one of his occasional “on” days, he can’t beat you from the pocket.

Baltimore has been running a high school offense for years. Take the special athlete, put him at QB, send everyone downfield and unless his primary read is WIDE open, take off running in space against lesser athletes. When you have a unique running talent like Jackson, that gets you to the edge of the playoffs or even in the playoffs, but you can’t win in the playoffs that way.

  5. Pay the man! Who gets injured every year. If the Ravens are smart they’ll franchise him one yr and then let him and mom go shopping elsewhere.

  6. The Lamar jackson hate is insane. The man who led league in QBR from the pocket. In top 10 in QBR again. Has his team poised to make the playoffs again with the worst group of skill position players perhaps ever (NFL record 8.4% drop rate) and has missed only 6 games in have seasons despite being a one man offense. Give the man a Tyreek Hill, Stephon Diggs, or Jamar Chase and he would easily win another MVP.

Fun fact of the Day. Lamar jackson is accurate this season than Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert and Jimmy G. Facts over feelings. Pay the man.
