All four home teams favored in divisional round

As usual, the four home teams are favored to win this weekend’s four divisional round games.

The biggest favorites are the AFC No. 1 seed Chiefs, who are favored by 8.5 points over the Jaguars. Next are the NFC No. 1 seed Eagles, 7.5-point favorites over the Giants.

The Bills are 5-point favorites over the Bengals. And in the game the oddsmakers see as the closest, the 49ers are 4-point favorites over the Cowboys.

This is the fifth consecutive season that all four home teams are favored in the divisional round. The last time a home team was an underdog, that team was the 2017 Eagles, who had lost starting quarterback Carson Wentz to injury and were playing backup Nick Foles. The Eagles won that game, won the NFC Championship Game a week later, and then won the Super Bowl.

Bet the farm on the 49ers.

Do you have the deed to that farm and are you sure you want to do that with Yips Shanahan coaching?

  2. I love my Eagles but you never know which team you’ll get when they hit the field. Will it be the high flying offense combined with the top sack leaders and interceptions on defense, or will it be a dull outing with no running game commitment and defense giving up big chunks of yards? The Giants are coming to town and that team has a big chip on their shoulder, we’d better be ready.

  3. I’ve watched a lot of great Niners – Cowboys games in my lifetime. Looking forward to this one, too.

  4. Bengals are just relieved that the Bucs awful play took the spotlight off them for being the worst team in the playoffs.

  5. In today’s NFL any of the games could have an upset result. A bad call here and an injury there and suddenly the game flips.

  6. The Bills Bengals game should be at a neutral site since week 18 was cancelled bengals were leading and if they would of won they would have had the home game against Buffalo

  7. Perhaps the Bengals Bills game should start with 5:58 left in Q1 with Bengals leading 7-3…

  8. All four road teams have the ability to win. We keep looking for the next Brady/manning—except this is better. It’s not good when 3QBs(Brady, manning, & Big Ben) represent the afc in the SB for a 15 year period. Having mahomes, Allen, burrow, Herbert, and Lawrence is better than a two man show.

  9. I would love to see the Jaguars upset KC just to shake everything up. I’m tired of the Chiefs.

  10. The line for the Bengals is tempting but without knowing which lineman will start, there’s no way I’d lay money on them.
Because if the backups play like they did Sunday night, Cincinnati won’t be able to rely on their defence exploiting a backup quarterback to win the game.

I can smell the jealousy. Meanwhile, the Steelers are patting themselves on the back for not having a losing season. LMAO. That’s great.

  12. Come on Buffalo don’t blow it! You got your funky smelling game out of the way and the bungles are WAY overdue for their stink-a-roo game.

  13. 5pts is too much for Bengals/Bills. Vegas has been way way over what the spreads should be for bills games this year. Bet the Bengals with the points, this feels like a field goal wins it game for either team. Only thing that gives you pause is the state of Bengals o line and the fact that burrow is not a super mobile QB like ALlen, mahomes, hurts et al… The line must reflect the O line problems. Both teams Bills and Bengals had rough outings but the Fins are a vastly better team than the Ravens even though they limped into the playoffs, they have more talent, and if you have a 3rd stringer playing would you rather have him throw to Tyreek Hill and Waddle or whomever the Ravens have??? If allen an co dont turn the ball over anymore this post-season they will be hard to beat, but they need to do two more major things to make it to SB: run the ball, and get to the QB, they do that and play clean, they are very very hard to beat.

  14. Likely because his people have already dropped a large sum of money into Bill Vinovich’s immense offshore account.

  15. 5 points for the Bills game does seem like quite a bit, but I kinda can see the logic behind them being at least a little bit favorited. Both offenses are absolutely turbo charged and capable of producing against any opponent. Buffalo’s D seems a bit better to me, they’re well rounded and have been consistent all year, and ranked high on just about every measurable metric. I think the Bills will win, but by a very slim margin. Certainly not 5+ But ya never know, it’s playoffs.

Jealous of what? You’re no Super Bowl wins? Or you’re becoming relevant after 45 years? What is it exactly

The original conversation was about this year. Stay on topic . It’s not hard.

You resort to talking about the past when you have nothing else to offer to the conversation. Go away, son!! The adults are talking.
