Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will make history as soon as they take the field on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game.

The 23-year-old Purdy and the 24-year-old Hurts will become the first pair of starting quarterbacks in a conference championship game under age 25, and will have the lowest combined age for a pair of starting quarterbacks ever in a conference championship game.

Purdy is a rookie who will become the third-youngest conference championship game starting quarterback. Only Shuan King with the 1999 Buccaneers and Ben Roethlisberger with the 2004 Steelers were younger.

Hurts is in his third NFL season and will become the 20th-youngest conference championship game starting quarterback.

  1. Hope they duel it out like they did last time they met: 2019 Oklahoma vs Iowa State. 42-41 classic! Iowa state had no business making that a game but Purdy threw for 5 TDs and only lost because they missed the 2 point conversion that would’ve won the game.

If this game turns out to be half as good it’ll be one for the ages.

  2. QB: eagles
    Offense: eagles
Defense: Push (49ers were 1st overall in total D by like 15 yards over the eagles and use whatever pro niners stat you want, all the main metrics have the eagles/niners as 1-2 or 2-1)
    Special Teams: Push

What does that all add up to?
27-17 eagles; tight game all 4 quarters, eagles put it away late in 4th and end it on a Reed Blankenship INT off a deflection by TJ Edwards

  3. It is still not official that Jayleen Hurts is actually a QB. His rushing attempt per game average is making it so that he cannot be considered anything but a running back that throws. He exceeds the Russell Wilson standard.

  4. Two good teams that have strong lines. There’s no gimme left for any of the remaining teams. Great young qbs as well remaining. Should be a great CG weekend

Didn’t Hurts finish in the top 10 in passing yards even after missing a couple games? No worries…we don’t need facts to stand in the way of your nonsensical statement.

What is official is that Dak is definitely a QB because there’s no way a running back would throw 2 backbreaking picks in a play-off game while simultaneously leading the ENTIRE NFL in interceptions.
