It’s good that 49ers tackle Trent Williams isn’t retiring. He needs to earn back $12,731 that he lost as a result of last Sunday.

Via NFL Media, Wiliams has been fined $12,731 for unnecessary roughness during the NFC Championship. Williams was ejected after throwing Eagles safety K’Von Wallace to the ground.

Wallace also was ejected, but he was not fined.

The moment caused many to remember this moment from a decade ago, when Williams slapped Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after a playoff loss to Seattle.

  1. I’m surprised it’s not higher. It was so vicious. . K’von Wallace is lucky his medical bills don’t cost more than the fine.

  2. Trent is an excellent player and sport, which is why you have to go back a decade to find this kind of momentary lapse. And the idiot he tossed away deserved it.

  3. The Safety Toss should be one of the events for O linemen at the “Pro Bowl”. I’d watch.

  4. He’s a bully..he likes slapping defensive backs but if you look closer at that scrum when Mr Suh walked over he kinda back pedalled. Never seen him get into it with any lineman or even a LB…Straight bully

  5. Trent is a sore loser and a scumbag so he should have been suspended a game. I still recall how he pouted his way out of Washington. Talented but soft as they come.

Keep telling yourself that. He’s classless and a sore loser. Definitely should be suspended a game. Was thrilled to see Philly win after a number of scumbag moves by the Whiners including repeated kidney punches that should have gotten another dirtbag ejected.

  7. Lol, eagles are trash. They couldn’t win normally so they had to deliberately injure the 49ers quarterback. Their rushers were deliberately targeting the qbs throwing arm on tackles. Trent was doing his job, protecting other players, the 49ers player was trying to disengage the eagles player, and the eagles player wouldn’t let go. So Trent did the only reasonable thing and made him sit down before he got someone hurt.

Couldn’t finish reading your idiocy after that second sentence. It’s a fact that the Whiners players are classless. They proved it with their tantrums on the national stage. I know it sucks to be outclassed in every facet of the game but at least try to be professional with millions of eyes watching. Wait for the locker room to cry and punch walls.

  9. Overrated and soft-minded. Needs to better learn how to deal with losing (being dominated). You’d think with all his seasons in Wash and SF he’d have mastered that by now.

  10. Williams is all fraud. He hasn’t been above average in years – either he is hurt or his feelings are hurt.
