Police have not yet charged Bengals running back Joe Mixon with a crime. Via TMZ.com, however, police say Mixon’s home is a crime scene.

No arrests were made when police arrived at Mixon’s home on Monday night to investigate a shooting. A juvenile had been injured and transported to a local hospital.

WLWT reported that Mixon’s sister said he “was not involved” in the shooting that injured a teenager.

Still, the fact that his home is a crime scene means that police think a crime occurred there. The next question is whether anyone will be charged with one or more crimes arising from the shooting.

These events are unfolding at an unfortunate time for Mixon. He had an off-field incident during the postseason that resulted in charges being filed and then dropped. He also faces the possibility of being released by the Bengals, or at a minimum being asked to reduce his $9.4 million base salary.

  1. Bengals fans never tired of telling us all how he changed and turned his life around. Good times huh.

  2. Hope the injured person is ok….just Bengals being Bengals. Mixon s on field action lead to see something like this could happen…appears to be a punk.

  3. If 10 years down the road he wants to get into coaching, will all these issues be ignored like the other(s)? Or will we be made to believe it’s the system that doesn’t want him?

  4. Guns in the home…when fired 98% of the time the owner or the family of the gun owner is shot….not an intruder. FACTS! If the odds are 98% of the time when a gun is fired in a home you or your family member is going to get shot why would you buy one….that’s like buying a lotto ticket and actually thinking you’re going to win.

Try 30 years and having a hand in putting together one of the best offense ever.

  6. The bengal hate is so real hahaha! Mixon has been cleared in this case but go ahead w the yip yap haters. Most Bengal fans expect him to be cut and not alot of us are sad about it.

  7. I love how folks like to beat up a NFL team when a player makes a bad character decision.
If you want too prove how smart you are name one team that hasn`t had a bad character player!
By the time the NFL draft is over there will be 10 to 20 more players with bad character history.

  8. A loaded gun, Joe Mixon, and a juvenile inside of a home is just something bad waiting to happen, and now it has.

Well, at least you admit his background. It’s a start.
