Tom Brady laughs off talk that he may come out of retirement again

Last year, Tom Brady retired on February 1 and then un-retired on March 13. This year, Brady again retired on February 1, but as of March 7, he’s not backing down.

Responding to talk at the Scouting Combine that Brady might not really be done, Brady took to Twitter today with a tweet in which he said — in a joking manner — that his family responsibilities wouldn’t allow him to return.

“Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter,” Brady wrote.

At the moment, Brady seems to be retired for real. But that doesn’t mean Brady can’t change his mind, perhaps later in the offseason, perhaps during training camp, perhaps even if some contending team loses its starting quarterback during the 2023 regular season.

No one is saying that Brady is definitely coming back for the 2023 season, but it’s impossible to say for sure that he isn’t, either. No matter how much time he’s spending right now with his daughter and her kitten.

    *****

    That’s not actually a denial.

  2. Well I laugh off talk that he’s good without elite coaching or cheating so….

  3. He just “retired” as leverage so he make a team beg for him to “unretire”.

  4. Not very nice of him, putting all that pressure on the daughter. And on the kitten.

  5. Still waiting to see if Shanahan or McDaniel are willing to throw out half their playbook.

  6. I’d just like to see more evidence than “It’s possible”. It’s just a waste of time to discuss this until there is some meat on the bone

  7. Tom Brady is going to come back and win a national championship at the University of Michigan…the next logical move at this point of his career. (won a national championship as a backup to Brian Griese at Michigan in 1997)

  8. We are all tired of this guy. He really blew it coming back the first time.Enough already and I love TB12

  9. Cats are low maintenance pets.

If Tom comes back, he better be all in. What he did last year isn’t acceptable. He better make that decision soon. Once the Raiders and Bucs have their QB plans cemented, he can return without hurting anybody’s feelings.

  10. We all know the intense fitness, diet and sleep regime he’s had to follow to stay in game shape in his 40s. He’s not doing that anymore. He’s not coming back. Let it go.

Well, at least you are laughing.

  12. Imagine Gronk & Brady playing Belichick twice a year with Miami – even though both players have lost a step it’d still be great to see them against NE.
Speaking as a Bills fan just to see the Fish destroy Macaroni Jones & Belichick twice a year – I’d pay to see that matchup! Lol

He better be all in or else what? We will tell him it’s unacceptable again? lol

He might have have had one foot in last year, but he still won the division and made the playoffs with no OL or running game. Not terrible.

Should a Bills fan really be talking smack when the Bills can’t even get to the SB and Josh Allen finds new ways to lose and choke in the playoffS? Why don’t you win something first before you try gloating against the team that won 6 Super Bowls since the turn of the century

  15. Brady has a lower career passer rating vs Belichick’s defense than Tim Tebow and Brian Hoyer 😂😂😂😂😂

  16. You Patsy fans know in a HEARTBEAT you’d sell your souls to have Josh Allen as your starting QB! Lol

  17. Now imagine the average Joe telling their friends and family, “ain’t no way I can work right now…not with this 2-month old cat ‘round here.” Sounds foolish, doesn’t it?

  18. He’s laughing because his name is in the headlines again – all he has ever wanted.

  19. Brady has a lower career passer rating vs Belichick’s defense than Tim Tebow and Brian Hoyer 😂😂😂😂😂

    And the win.

Not only does Tommy have a lower rating than those guys against Bill’s defense which is really hilarious on its own…he actually admitted after the game that his least favorite team to beat was the Patriots lolololololol

A REAL man would say that was his favorite team to beat no apologies no regrets. Guess Bill just lives rent free in Tommy’s head. Looked obvious to me. He don’t want a piece of Bill twice a season. He don’t want none of that. No way no how. Not after he looked pathetic and shook during and after the game last time. Lololol

  21. Tommy was so jealous that football fans love Peyton Manning’s game and can’t stand Tommy’s 2 yard curl route passes so he thought deflating footballs would help. Makes sense. Too bad he wasn’t man enough to admit it when he was caught.

  22. Zero winning seasons without elite coaching.

    ZERO.

Nothing else I could possibly add. Says it all already.

  23. When Tommy unretires and leads the Dolphins to a 7-10 record should I laugh first at the Tommy cult and then laugh hysterically? Or should it be the other way around?
    I’m fine with either. 🙂
