The Commanders have agreed to a deal with center Tyler Larsen, John Keim of ESPN reports.

Larsen started eight games in 2022 before dislocating his right kneecap in a Dec. 4 game. In 2021, his season ended after nine games with an Achilles injury.

Larsen joined the Commanders in the 2021 offseason.

He spent his first five seasons in Carolina, playing 68 games with 18 starts.

In seven seasons, Larsen has appeared in 86 games with 29 starts.

He also has versatility to play inside.

  1. The Commanders should call Bill Belichick and offer a 2nd rounder for Mac Jones, and then tell BB he ought to trade for Aaron Rodgers. They have the cap space and draft capital to make that trade (NE and GB), and Jones would give Washington a QB that can be a top 15 QB, maybe top 10 eventually, ala Derek Carr. Rodgers would help Belichick win enough games to set the all time wins record (within 3 seasons), and maybe win another Lombardi before his time is up as a coach. Win-Win-Win. Everyone wins.
