The Bills have added an offensive lineman.

Buffalo signed David Edwards to a one-year contract, the team announced on Thursday.

A fifth-round pick in the 2019 draft, Edwards started 10 games in his rookie year and was a consistent starter for Los Angeles thereafter. He started every game for the Rams in 2021, as the club won Super Bowl LVI.

But Edwards suffered two concussions in 2022, which limited him to just four games.

There’s familiarity with Edwards on Buffalo’s coaching staff, as offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was Edwards’ position coach for the first two years of his career in L.A.

  1. Hopefully He and Morris don’t collide on a play. That would be a two for one concussion protocol loss.

  2. If Kromer likes him I like him too. Sounds promising. Welcome to Buffalo, David.

  3. Bills keep making good moves to upgrade their roster. Nothing splashy just solid. Wouldn’t be surprised if Beane does something that gets the juices flowing of both the players and fans.

  4. Bills have quietly improved the periphery of the offense. I imagine it will be a defensive heavy draft. Despite the defensive rankings, I haven’t been impressed by the bills defense as a whole since 2019.

  5. Upgrade?

Bills did will in signing Damien Harris, but they still need improvements in front of him. This ain’t that…

  6. Maybe the reason the Rams line “was one of the worst” last year had more to do with this guy only playing in 4 games? It’s a one year bet on a young player with super bowl experience.

He missed 13 games due to a concussion last year. Might explain why the rams o-line was bad. How did he play in those 4 games since you seem to know?

It was one of the worst lines because of injury and necessity to sign guys off the street. The previous year, the year the Rams won the SB, Edwards played very well at LG next to Andrew Whitworth. Unfortunately, Edwards had concussion issues last year, which really makes it hard to predict availability.
