The Panthers have added another receiver.

After trading DJ Moore to the Bears as part of the deal for the No. 1 overall pick and signing Adam Thielen, Carolina has agreed to terms with DJ Chark on a one-year deal, the team announced on Friday.

Chark visited with the Panthers last week.

A second-round pick in 2018, Chark spent last season with the Lions. He caught 30 passes for 502 yards with three touchdowns in 11 games with 10 starts.

Chark’s best season was in 2019, when he caught 73 passes for 1,008 yards with eight TDs. He missed most of the 2021 season with a fractured ankle.

In 54 career games, Clark has 177 receptions for 2,544 yards with 18 TDs.

With the Panthers expected to draft a quarterback at No. 1 overall, the young signal-caller will now have a pair of veteran receivers to rely upon in his rookie season.

  1. So, the pressure is on Jamo to take Chark’s place and raise it up to another level.

  2. DJ Chark is a good player when healthy. Panthers may have gotten a steal, but make sure to have depth behind him

Lol. Totally 2 different skill sets.

“Jamo” has stilts for legs and may not make it.

  4. Panther fan here. I knooooooow injuries, but our OL and new weapons are set up to make a rookie QB successful. We also now can take BPA in the 2nd round

why don’t you worry about your Patriots, the team that has next to zero legit talent on offense outside of Stevenson

  6. It’s adorable that Panthers fan thinks his team is going anywhere with a rook at QB.

  7. Would’ve been cool to have him back on the Lions but I trust Holmes to find a better option in the draft.

Feels different to say I trust someone in the Lions organization bc for most of my life I haven’t.

  8. Look for the lions to add a receiver.. Dhop? They have 28 mil on cap and five picks in the first three rounds

  9. Bears fans been crowing how this pick from the Panthers is guaranteed to be a top 10 pick, but Carolina seems to be building a decent roster. Wouldn’t shock me if they fell out of the top 10, and it definitely won’t shock me when they finish the season with a better record than Chicago.

  10. With the Panthers’ OL and defense, they don’t have to pass to be better then the Boars. IJS

  11. Was good for the Lions but missed a third of the season. Lions GM is playing chess right now and I’m sure may target Dhop or grab one of the few premier WR’s in the draft
