Odell Beckham is doing what Lamar Jackson should be doing.

The free agent receiver arrived at the Biltmore in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon.

He warmly greeted his former head coach with the Browns, Kevin Stefanski, during a random encounter upon his arrival. Beckham later was seen having a brief discussion with Jets General Manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh.

Beckham told Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports that he has a formal meeting with the Ravens.

The three-time Pro Bowler lives and trains nearby.

Beckham, a free agent for more than a year, has received interest but not at the right price. He suggested recently that the best offer he’s gotten includes a compensation package of $4 million.

The star receiver missed all of last season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament in Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13, 2022. He underwent surgery Feb. 22, 2022.

He had a workout for 12 teams, including the Ravens, Giants and Jets, on March 10 to show how his twice surgically repaired knee has healed.

  1. I wish him the best, but he’s in dream land. No one is putting up 8 digits unless it’s all incentives.

  2. Desperation at it’s finest. Love to see this diva humbled. Singing for his supper.

  3. I can see where he’s coming from by wanting more than $4M. His impact in the city alone will generate that with jersey sales and folks coming to practice to see him. Give him a little bit more on a 3 year but 1 year prove it deal and let him go to work.

  4. This guy was on a certain HOF pace after his first 3 years in the league. As a Giants fan since 1979, I would be thrilled if he returned to the Giants. I love the guy. I dont understand the hatred that so many NFL fans have towards him.

You are right. The Giants should give him the next Golladay contract.
Signed, the rest of the NFC East

  6. I would gave loved to see all the eye rolling at those meetings when the owners found out he was there.

It probably looked like the scene in Major League when Willie mays Hayes showed up at spring training without an invite.

  7. One guy here doesn’t understand the hatred people have towards him? Let’s start with him sitting and watching all of the passengers disembark a full plane because he didn’t want to comply with a simple FAA regulation.

    I agree with you – and I am a Jets fan !.
Terrible injuries to overcome , but at his best he is stellar.
Some real haters on here , especially about him , and Rodgers. Weird.

  9. I imagine him sitting at a table with the one-handed catch on a poster behind him. “Hey, remember me?”

  10. Where’s Florio? He was here last fall telling how many teams would be desperate to sign him. Not so much…

  11. WOW this is pretty sad for him, begging for a job. Hes officially done. Washed as can be. No team is going to sign him.

  12. Is he doing sit-ups in the hotel lobby? That’s what you have to do to get noticed.

  13. I got a text that he met with Daboll away from cameras. I don’t that it means anything but he met with Jets, Redskins, BMore and other teams in the open.

  14. I can just picture him standing outside the conference room sheepishly handing out printouts of his resume (which is just a picture of that one really good TD catch he made like 6 years ago).

  15. Hopefully he isn’t flying there in the same plane with the owners. Grovel, diva, grovel!!!

  16. His agent met with a half dozen team’s front office personnel for varying amounts of time. I’m sure more will leak. Beckham himself mostly chatted with coaches.

  17. Connor Hughes is wrong. Beckham chatted with Daboll and his agent talked to multiple teams front office personnel even if Ravens were only formal meeting.

  18. More updates: ESPN is saying the Giants are working on Dexter Lawrence extension before they do further free agent business. Included is that chances of signing Beckham is slim. However the offer they have out to him is more than their current cap space. That suggests slim becomes less slim or modest if they come to an extension with Lawrence or Barkley. The Giants are putting a lot of misinformation out there and that’s good because no one knows their draft picks with this regime. No standing offers to Barkley? Yeah right there’s actually one and it’s not reduced (no I don’t mean the tag).

Don’t tell me they need more cap space for the Rams DT when they could just add void years for Leonard Williams with an extension. Personally I think they’d love to trade up for Gonzalez if they get more cap but the claim is it’s about free agency maybe Beckham maybe McGovern.
