Minnesota has added some depth to its defensive backfield.

The Vikings announced on Monday that they’ve agreed to terms with cornerback Joejuan Williams.

A Patriots second-round pick in 2019, Williams has started just one game in his first four seasons. He appeared in nine games as a rookie, 15 games in 2020, and 12 games in 2021 with his only career start. While much of Williams’ playing time has come on special teams, he has posted 505 defensive snaps.

Williams, 25, was sidelined for all of 2022 after suffering a shoulder injury in August.

In his 36 games, Williams has posted 44 total tackles with eight passes defensed.

  1. The best Kwesi can come up with to add to the roster is no-name and previously injured players who cost nothing, which is good, because the team has no cap money.

  2. Vikings need another special teams player since Kris Boys signed with the Cards

  3. Another high BB draft pick bites the dust? Can’t wait to hear the excuses from Patsies fans, re: this bust.

  4. Some of these signing I can’t help but think of Major League: “Who are these F#$$@N guys?!”

  5. Ah, yes, Joejuan Williams, the guy the Pats drafted in the 2nd round after passing on DK Metcalf and A.J. Brown, both for the second time, too. Easily one of Belichick’s worst drafts with Yodny Cajuste the only pick still on the team. 3 or 4 guys should be core contributors but all we have to show for it is a backup OT who is always hurt and a turnstile when he does play.

  6. It’s actually refreshing to see Pats fans making comments — helps mute out the cheesers as they wait for their GM to do something, anything, well nothing.

Lions winning the NFC North. Bank it

I wouldn’t bet $1 of my own money on the Lions until they play good for more than 6 games in a season.

  8. Like all moves, it all depends on the contract. I’m guessing this is another 1 year deal for cheap as a guy tries to prove he’s worth a longer contract.

  9. The pats haters are funny any pick that doesn’t work out is because belichick can’t draft but any lick that works out is all because the player is just so great an already finished product. Lol 😂😂😂😂

  10. Yet another proof that BB values draft position number way too much over the skill and performance of a player.
